In discussions I like to bring up anthropology before science personally. One example of many: what would the nomadic plains Indians of North America have eaten as staple foods if they didn't hunt? There simply were not enough edible plants available year round for those purposes. These peoples were known for being virile and long lived while getting the vast majority of their nutrition from animal products. The majority (all?) of the hunter gatherers of the world were healthy before modernity brought its garbage diets. Are we going to tell them their ancient culture of food that brought them to today is wrong? I also don't currently buy the whole "well, they're genetically adapted" argument. That does need to be studied further, but the way its phrased insinuates they're an entirely different species or something. It's hard to believe any humans here on Earth today are that different from one another.

I was born and raised Adventist and I went vegetarian from age 4 to 30 when I was pregnant with my second baby and trying to nurse my first I started eating meat at my midwives suggestion and it took me about 2 years to even begin enjoying the taste of meat. Going carnivore the last 3 months at age 41 I think about all the damage I did to young me eating all that processed gmo nastiness coming out of Loma Linda and how I may not be able to repair all of it. I take solace in the fact that I can raise my 7 kiddos in a much healthier way and give them a good foundation before they are off making their own informed decisions. I rebelled against Adventism in my teens and I used to think it was just a tiny cult, but it's astounding how much of a curse on the world bad religion is. Hi Dr. Chaffee, My name is Monica, I'm 59 years old live in Virginia and I'm a new carnivore. I started a week ago 10/7/23 my weight was 178-180, height 5.2 my blood sugar was over 160, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, acid reflux, anxiety and so on. I have tried being a vegan for a while but I was never satisfied with the foods I ate and it really did not help me feel better. I absolutely hate taking medication but that's what the doctor told me to so that's what I did. OMGosh after one week on carnivore I am down to 170 lbs, my blood sugar is at 96 not sure yet what my blood pressure is or my cholesterol until I get my blood work done. I am just excited to see what else happens later down the road staying on carnivore. Two years ago I lost my daughter to substance abuse she was 34 with two young children 2 & 5 which I am now raising. My daughter battled with depression and addiction from about 18 years old but then it continued to get worse. One day she told me I just don't feel normal unless I am altering my brain somehow. We tried so hard to help her, never abandoned her, tried so many rehabs and she never felt normal. My daughter was a very smart beautiful lady but her brain just didn't work right. I wish everyday now I would have heard about the carnivore diet back then and maybe she could have tried this and still be with us. Thank you Dr.Chaffee

Many also forget the fact that humans have only eaten plants because our ancestors sacrificed their lives in the pursuit of experimenting with plants to see if they were indeed edible. Go into the wild and try to live off your surroundings exclusively on plant material. One would see a plethora of greens..however unless one knows what is "safe" to consume, one would need to experiment to find out. This is how our human ancestors found out. Many many dying in the process. We are only eating the vegetables and fruit today that many unfortunately do eat because of the many deaths that resulted in the pursuit of this knowledge. This is why veganism is flawed. No human can enter the wild and subsist on plant material unless they know either through reading or learning but never never instinctively that the vegetation is indeed safe. Yet even a devout vegan knows that they can eat rabbits, dear, chicken, ducks, fish, buffalo etc etc...but i bet you my life they would never stuff a handful of wild berries unless they were sure it was safe, or a handful of wild mushrooms into their mouths. We are by design carnivores.

An old boss from "the old country" (communist Yugoslavia) told me many old wisdoms. One was about GMO's: farmers were having medical troubles with their cattle. Good veterinarians asked "What changes were made?" GMOs. Go back the stuff you fed them before the problems. Problems (starring leaky gut) were gone. Leaky gut was gone from the cattle, and the people who ate their meat. Since then, Europe banned GMOs (mostly), and people suffered less medical problems. Setbacks showed up, and it was found that some farmers continued to use GLYPHOSATE - not for GMO compatibility, but just to quickly KILL the crop to make the harvest more efficient (killing dries the crop and combines can shake out the chaff easier). Either way, the problem was POISONING associated. Thanks, Doc !!!

I am a 78-year-old male; when I was 54, I cured my ulcerative colitis by going on an Atkins carnivorish diet. It doesn't happen instantly, but give it 90 to 180 days, and it will be gone or significantly improved. My case was so severe that it took about 6 to 8 months before it was gone. My doctor was angry with me and dropped me as a patient because I refused to take his medication 22 years ago, and I have not had a problem. The only thing I have changed is increased good, healthy fats and Protein. About 70% fat and 30% protein. Also, my gout, which I have suffered from since I was in my mid-30s, is not better; it's gone. That didn't happen until I changed the ratio of fat to Protein. Much of what I thought was gout was plantar fasciitis, and once the veteran's hospital got me the proper inserts for my shoes, 90% of what I thought was gout disappeared; the other 10%, I believe, was caused by things like high fructose corn syrup. It doesn't take much! Dr. Chafee, one of your best talks, explains what I have done wrong over the years.

When Doctors and professionals tell us how we should eat for health is so opposite from what we should be doing i was devastated from the lies and suddenly my life of obesity totally made sense. I know in my heart that i could have helped my Mother live healthier and longer but she was like many, we were told to drink skim milk, cut out fat, only eat chicken breasts, eat tons of salads and veggies ect and she paid the ultimate price for that. Great video! I'm 27, I've been low carb for years and carnivore for months. Thought I'd add my anecdote to the pile. I had serious depression and brain fog that i can tell ive cured with the diet. (Because if i get too relaxed about it the symptoms return!). I'm in fantastic shape with relatively little effort (gym a couple times a week where I do relatively basic exercises, and running twice a week as well.) I am keeping a steady weight of about 80-82 kg at 184 cm and most of my calories come from beef , butter and dairy. I drink quite a lot of milk to keep up with the daily calories (almost 4000 calories a day) and I feel the carbs from the milk help out with the cardio and workouts. Ive done a blood test and everything was great with the exception on slightly elevated cholesterol ( but the ratio was good), very high total testosterone but "only" above average free testosterone. Best wishes to anyone who decides to read this wall of text! Stay meaty.🍖

This presentation was undoubtedly an eye-opener for me. The level of mis/(dis)information we are all bombarded with on a continuous basis is nothing short of astounding, to say the very least. The paradigm they so desperately want to 'shove down our throats' is what causes ultimately the addiction to ill-fitting foods leading to a perpetual disease-stricken human existence. I am grateful for the enlightenment this presentation has brought forth, on one hand; but, on the other, I feel I have been fooled into believing nutritionally plant-based foods were the healthiest conscious option when it came to a clean, and safe eating practice. I am now more aware of how critical thinking plays a bigger role in making better-informed food and health choices to live and actually thrive. Thank you, Dr. Chaffee!

Hi. There is another connection here which is cholesterol and the continuous fight against it. Between constantly evading cholesterol in food, and everyone being on a statin, people are generally lacking in cholesterol. Also, statins degrade the coating on nerve fibre, all of this cascading into the plethora of mental health issues we see today. Yes, eliminate the sugar and carbs, but also kick the statin meds. Dr Chaffee is correct. We have done this to ourselves. The way forward to stunning mental and physical health is carnivore diet, and no meds. At 63 i have done this in 4 mths. Magical results. Let me know what you think. Good luck.

Carnivore for a little over four months. EVERY time I have attempted to add an “appropriately portioned” low glycemic vegetable side dish to my dinner, I wake up the next day with swollen joints and have to struggle to get back into ketosis for several days. Plants have sugar in them, and they are bad for my body to be sure. I can use some dried spices for variety in my meat. Anything more and my body tells me to knock it off! These days, if I want variety, I add different types of meat or an egg or some good quality butter bits to my plate. Simple.

Well, thank you again, Anthony, for these pearls of wisdom. The older I get the more I understand that the “follow the money” trail always reveals the truth. As a veterinarian, I couldn’t be more in agreement with your understanding of human GI tract and what it is supposed to pass. People fail to understand that when we eat ruminant meat, it came through the most effective biological filter (detoxification mechanism) in existence. The ruminant is also the ultimate machine converting grass to superfood. One calf (470 kg) is enough for one person for a year (about 600,000 Kcal). Harvesting crops will kill thousands and thousands of animals. So, I’m fine also with ethics. Finally, I wish I could be a pure carnivore but I’m ardently no carb.

Thank you so much Dr Chafee, about all this enlightening information for the history of modern “dietary insanity”. I was brought up an Orthodox Christian and more than half of a day’s year people are limited to vegan diet. It is called religious fasting. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease recently, but I lived with it since I was 4 years old. I am 48 now. When I was 26 I left the church and I actually stopped fasting since I was 22 years old. My body was yearning for meet, eggs and dairy. But my religion limited my intake of animal based food drastically. And my parents were also “health enthusiasts”. It was a sin not to eat a bowl of salad before having any protein. I am a strict carnivore for 6 months now due to you. I researched what alternatives I had to the chemotherapy treatment for Crohn’s. Your videos and articles helped me see there is this solution. Thank you so much! My diabetes B is also reversed and my Lichen Planus self inflammatory skin disease went away and my Crohn’s flare ups literally stopped. I have to note that I feel very obliged to you for answering my message the other day, when my doctor threatened me that I will get colon cancer, unless I eat plant based food and fiber. Much obliged

I'm 56 at my optimal weight of 175 lbs at 5'7" with a 30" waist. I have been able to encourage a few obese friends to just TRY it for a week or two. They have found the enormous benefits as I have and continue to enjoy the benefits. I will continue to do my part to push this healthy way of life.
