This is so exciting. I wish all of Toronto's subway system was like this, low platforms with low floor LRVs, if anyone gets on the tracks by accident it's easy to get back on the platform unlike the high platforms on the subway. And if our whole subway system was like Eglinton crosstown you could have surface to underground integration of the streetcar routes with the underground system. There was a proposal in the 1910s for underground streetcar rapid transit in this city, it just wouldn't come until the 2010s/2020s. ; )

There are people who want the Eglinton Crosstown to be a subway, there’d be so much more capacity. We just all know that this late into the project, with the performance time we’ve seen so far, there’s no turning back anymore.
