I used the hobonichi cousin this year and will be using it again in 2021! I totally get what you are saying about how writing every day can be overwhelmed ing, and I had blank pages. I mainly use my planner to list, but decorate with calligraphy. On days where I don't feel like tasking anything, I don't write anything at all. I used to feel stressed by the blank pages, but I started filling them up with bible verses in calligraphy or prayers. Now I feel like the daily planner is being used in multiple ways so I'm really excited. I also am using the happy planner system to log some bible study notes! I just got into the disc system, so I'm excited to keep using it and customizing it for my needs.

Beautiful things! You have all the Ferris Wheel Press Brush pens. :) The Galen Writing Box is definitely walnut. My dad was a woodworker, and walnut was his favorite. It looks like Galen offers the washi dispenser in both mahogany and walnut, so the one you have is probably mahogany. Enjoy all of your new things!

This review felt very relaxing! Your voice is super relaxing. Also, the writing box looks awesome for on-the-go journaling! :] I've dabbled into a handful of journals this year, the Hobonichi Cousin A5 being my main one for planning and journaling. But I found it difficult to keep up with it, so I now use the app Todoist for my planning needs. For next year, I plan to use the Hobonichi Weeks to quickly document what happened that day and use the TN as a private journal, spiritual/sermon notes journal, and a goal-setting/interests journal! I'm SUPER excited about getting a TN!! :D

I have so many journals/planners/TNs to use I'm actually getting overwhelmed! I have an old stalogy (think its A5) that I want to journal in because I want it filled up lol and then I have my b6 TN which will probably house my new PP b6 hardbound and a few extra inserts as a catch-all. For work I might end up using a PP weeks or sticking to my classic size bullet journal made with HP materials. The box and washi holder are great!

If your starting out i would recomend thst you start with a plan inexpensive notebook and get some paint washi tape and scrap paper but start out small and build up. Dont waste ur money on buying super expensive things if u arent sure if u are going to stick with this hobby in the long run.

Before purchasing any item from Galen Leather please make sure you are aware of the shipping costs. Despite my invoice including the cost of shipping, the delivery company UPS requested a further £30 English pounds before I was allowed my parcel. Make sure you make enquiries before purchasing! I was advised by Yusuf that this is mentioned on their website. Clearly I had missed that section. I advise you to be careful. The product I purchased is lovely. It is a shame that it has been ruined for me paying a lot more money than expected. I will make it my mission to ensure that everyone is aware on all social platforms. I know I can’t be the first to suffer from this!

So nice! I have the green smaller leather folio and it looks beautiful with the Paperblanks journals. Have you seen Peg and Awl videos? I made a notebook as per her video and it also looks good and grungy with the Galen leather mini folio. I had to get them out to have in my lap while I watched this LOL.

You can speed up the videos that are too slow for you 😉. 1.25x or 1.5x ... up to 2x speeds. Pretty nifty youtube feature that I use all the time!
