Looking forward to this. An 88 RX7 GXL was the car that got me hooked on cars. I'll always have a soft spot for rotaries, even if I ended up living the Miata life

Would love to see the full restoration of this car. They used to call this the poor man’s Porsche 944, but eff that. This car stands on its own as one of the best looking two seaters of the 80’s.

How do you sanitize the air condition ducts when a car is full of mold and dirt?
@decentrik3 жыл бұрын
1. Take your cabin filter out. Close it up. 2. Turn your fan on high 3. Open all vents. 4. Open your hood. 5. Spray lysol spray into the air catchers below the windshield for 5 mins. 6. Using low pressure. Spray air into thosd vents without breaking the plastic. 7. Install new cabin filter. 8. Close up the hood. 9. Vacuum/ detail/sanitize your interior as normal. 10. Your done. 😃 Do every 6 months.

This looks like an older model than '89, going by the body black mouldings and the lighter grey colour carpet. The '89/'91 series 5 had a different shape of body mould and was colour coded to the car and the carpet and seats were a darker grey.

Nice job and def. worth bringing these rotary Mazda’s back to driving condition, but just as an FYI this is prob not a JDM - which stands for “Japanese Domestic Market”. JDM cars are cars sold domestically in Japan and imported into North America at a much later date. They also tend to be right hand drive cars as that is the domestic configuration in Japan for Japanese Cars.
