First step, crush the car, you will never eliminate that nasty smell from a car. It will always be there.
@sebastienbolduc56542 жыл бұрын
I agree. If you don't do that step the smell isn't coming out. It will eventually return. If not an ozone generator there are treatments that kill the bacteria that causes smell. I already had it done to a car and it definitely works. They poor the stuff in a humidifier and put it in the car with AC running on full blast. Another cheaper option is spraying Lysol in the air vents, both interior and exterior vents. Lysol will target the same kind of bacteria. Leave the car sealed up with the AC running on high for a few minutes. Just make sure to roll down the windows afterwards to air it out for a few hours before using the vehicle.

I have a 2000 Toyota Camry LE that was given to me by my cousin it was his father's Camry. The problem I'm having is there's caked on tar from cigar smoke on the corner by my right leg. I don't know what to do because the plastic pieces that hold the sits sit on are 22 years old. The bolts that hold the sits in are rusted. I had taken wet paper towels and cleaned this brown stuff off everything that was plastic or vinyl. The sits are fabric. I don't smoke period. Do you have any suggestions on how to get the sits off without breaking the plastic sit mounts. The dashboard has faded. There's anything I can do about that.

The how is simple. The seats get that bad because of the natural oils that are on anybody's skin, which gets onto clothes, which over time combines with dirt and dust and any spills on seats, combined with any lotions or body oils or sunblock or oily soap that people use. The why is even more simple. People have lives, children, pets, work, doctors appointments, illnesses, depression, other mental illness. People get injured. People get busy. People lose loved ones. Who are we to judge others for this sort of thing? You never know what somebody else is going through, so you shouldn't judge them. Period. And your commentary there sounds a bit judge-y and unfair.

@Asphaltaperider2 жыл бұрын
If I were to start I'd charge $60/hr. I know the kind of work I do. I'm in Arkansas if that helps. Depending on what they want done would determine the estimated length of time. If I go that long it's what I charge. If I go shorter I charge only for the time I work. If longer, then I charge more. That is why it's an estimate. Hope this helps.

@@knottssonasty3603 you’re welcome. In one of his earlier replies Stauffer replies and says that this is a 6 hour job and he charged $550. The math comes out to $91.66/hour. That’s what he charges and that’s how he runs his business. I have a detail pro buddy I. Texas and he is very good. He charges around $300 for a 1 ton truck from the slag pits. I personally think he WAY under charges, but that’s what he charges for his business. What last longer and is easier to keep clean cloth seats or leather seats?
@emanuelchavez41542 жыл бұрын
I'd say leather is the way to go they )ast pretty long if you maintain them clean and conditioned and are easier to clean you can use a towel or a scrub pad for car interiors and cleaner to clean them and buy a leather conditioner to maintain them fabric is harder to clean (depending on what the stain is ) and they can last but from my experience leather is easier to clean and lasts the longest if well maintained. Hope this helps.
