Earlier this year I had the honor of joining 3600 singers from around the world as they recorded a new version of "Sogno di Volare". The project, organized by Stay-at-Home Choir, is finally premiering today at 6:30 PM GMT! I'm thrilled and honored that they chose to record my piece, and I'm super excited to see the world premiere. Here's a little taste!

Never mind the RAM or the graphics card... Imagine receiving 3600 different recordings that you have to manually edit for any background noise or artifacts to sound smooth. Whoever is doing that, I tip my hat to the sir/madame.

I was more amazed by the Audio Engineer and the Editor than the video itself

You'd automate it of course. And compute it in blocks of e.g. 2×2 then 4×4 and so on.

It’s weird that every single comment is liked by Christopher Tin and definitely not a bot. If an actual human is reading this comment, don’t like it.

These are going to be the longest 45 minutes of the month. Damn you Einstein for making time pass slower when you're waiting (I need an escape goat, sorry Albert, I'm not really mad at you)

'Need a "scapegoat" just one word, old Jewish tradition for Yom Kippur, placing the sins of someone one the head of a male goat and release it into the wild. Or cause someone to bear the blame for another, much as Einstein bears the blame for your excitement and eagerness to see the video.

@@davidernesto6258 and to be precise, the word "scapegoat" comes from the english translation of the latin idiom "caper emissarius": we're discussing orthography, not semantics, there's no need to explain what the term means

This is just amazing. I hope to be in your virtual orchestra one day! I am now 7 months in with my violin. I just hired an instructor. (First lesson....he wasn't prepared., for shame.) He will teach me how to play violin beautifully. I will instruct him on how to teach a productive 30 minute class. No chit chat, no blathering around......stop me if I play it wrong, tell me, and move on. No wasted moves. He's never met a duck like me before. I am a determined little cuss.........like Christopher. :-))))))))))

Thanks for the music through the years Christopher! It all started with Civ 4 back in high school. Then I played this song on repeat on my drive home when I was accepted to UC Berkeley three years ago. I made another virtual choir project of this song last year with my current choir. And it was an absolute pleasure to be part of this performance! Thanks again for your music and I am looking forward to your future work.
