That’s spot on A covert narcissist has a grandiose sense of self-importance but appears humble or introverted. They may manipulate others through.

Married a narcissist and it turned for the worst. He was a "good guy" when we first started out. Then I got sick and started communicating my needs and what was lacking in our relationship. He would constantly blow it off and manipulate the scenario to fit his needs and wants. When I got sick and really needed him to show up. He went outside our marriage. I left an abusive relationship. To find my peace. Know your worth ladies. Women need to feel safe and secure. He's totally stuck on himself. Run don't walk away. Run! Thank you for having this conversation. We need more talks like this 🙏🏾

Yes Derrick Jackson definitely gives narcissistic vibes. He is definitely out of touch with himself and would probably benefit from intense therapy to increase his self awareness. People can be narcissistic around the fringes but I think we use that term so much that is losing its meaning. But yes Mr. Jackson needs to sit on someone's couch in order to be more aware of himself and the way others experience him.

I would love to hear you all talk about how to date as a single Christian in today’s society. Where do you go to meet single Christian men, in your early 40s.
@joymosley89975 ай бұрын
Or late 40's. I'm too old for all the single guys at my church.

I can agree that the concern today is how much influence the world has on being Christian. The problem is seeing a lot of people say they are Christian but not living up to its standards. We love God yet give in to temptation as soon as we come across it then blame it on God knows my heart. God also sees your actions. To God Be The Glory I am going on 4 months single and celibate. Being celibate was a choice for me at first then as I drew closer to God I started seeing how it is an obligation and a requirement. The toughest pill I had to swallow was realizing that I was an illusion of the perfect man because I was insecure with myself. A lot of men will not admit that. I still see myself as a good person but its not to impress anyone but the father. But I digress

Y’all need to look at both interviews, his and his wife, the whole interview not just snippets. And the period that he’s speaking on they were boyfriend and girlfriend, they broke up and married many times before marriage 7 or 8 years later.

I don’t like the term narcissist or narcissistic… ONLY because I’m a therapist and that’s a serious diagnosis. We normalize dysfunctionality and make the terminology mainstream. Just call out the individual behaviors and look for those or find a better word to describe the person rather than give someone a title of something they are not. But that’s just my opinion.

My discernment made me scroll past him after listening to a couple of videos. He is a narcissist. A good guy. Always the others fault etc. The big red flag for me was how he catered to what women wanted to hear but “never married”. You neeeeeeveeeer heard him mention his wife or techniques he used to get his wife. This tells me that he wanted the appearance of being single. This allowed him to be a predator. He is a narc. It’s much deeper than selfishness. Narcs are usually good guys in the public eye. Ask me how I know.

I used to watch him a lot and I liked some of his advice things but after a while I felt like his advice was worldly and not right. I don’t think he was saved because his advice sounded worldly.
