I have loved this song ever since I first heard it (thanks to my good friend Domo!) and I've had so many requests to sing it, but I've been waiting for the right person to sing it with - and who better than the INCREDIBLE Hobbie Stuart! omg i love how people keep saying stuff has all this autotune in it like they know what the hell they're talking about.. it takes a very very very trained ear to notice auto-tune and Im pretty sure most of the people making these comments have no idea what they're talking about they just wanna sound cool and important lol... ??? The effect they are referring to may not technically be called "auto-tune", but the effect is there, just the same and it's way to strong. The electronic alteration of his voice has a negative influence on the tone of the song by fighting with the somber chords and lamenting lyrics. Not sure what that effect is officially called but it is also not called reverb. Reverb is when you here a decrescendo of echos following the singers words.

ebony kunkle a few definitions of reverb: from merriam webster - an electronically produced echo effect in recorded music; from wikipedia - A reverberation, or reverb, is created when a sound is produced in an enclosed space causing a large number of echoes to build up and then slowly decay as the sound is absorbed by the walls and air. and from the Latin - reverberāre to cause to rebound Your voice sounds different in a church than outside because the walls and vaulted cielings og the building cause echoes (aka, reverb)

his voice is auto tuned, hers isn't. it doesn't take a 'very very very trained ear' at all.

No his voice has EQ and that EQ is Reverb and a little delay. Auto-tone is when one compresses a recording that has too many highs and lows, this makes for less cracks and whistles in recordings so you get a more even and smooth feel. So the above comment that started the thread is somewhat true, being that you will never know if some one is using it, unless you were there when it was recorded. Last I checked wiki was not a bases for teaching studio recording. The term Auto-tune is way over used and miss understood term, so it would probably be best that people just stop bringing it up, rather say Eq'd being that it's the actual blanket term that people are meaning when they say Auto-tune out of ignorance.

Listening to him was like listening to a guy sing with an electric mic. It was wayyyy too auto-tuned. I don't know how he sings accoustic, but I'm guessing that someone that sings good accousticly doesn't need so much auto-tune in the recording studios....

This is definitely a phenomenal cover. Both of the singers sing this song with their best voices/vocals. They sound absolutely beautiful together, but- I must admit- Hobbie's voice suits this song perfectly. His voice is truly amazing and touching.
