Jordan the one thing that I have had such a hard time with (being non WA native) that I would love for you to cover is how you find areas to fish. Not how to pick a hole on a river, but how to look at a map and decide that you might get lucky there. ABSOLUTELY LOVE what you do and would take the chance in a second to join in.
@dugahole-fishing83182 жыл бұрын
Google maps. Find a river or lake then google the name + fishing reports. That's a good start. Then my state also has a fishing website for most of our larger fishing waterbodies you may want to see if yours does. And finally unfortunately there's just a lot of going to a spot and finding out it sucks. You just don't see that on youtube. Time is the biggest piece of the puzzle. Take the time to go and find out. I usually plan a close backup plan that I do know if I am going somewhere new to go to if a place doesn't pan out.

I'm drooling over here!🤤 That looks so dang good. People would pay good money for that sushi roll!!🍣🍥 One thing I really appreciate about your videos is that you are *real* about the experience. It's not over processed and edited. If a fish gets away, that's fishing. Forgot something for the trip, that's life. Keep up the good work. Another great video Jordan.

Pastry dough wrapped salmon. 3 layers on the bottom and 3 on top with melted butter brushed between each layer. Mayo, dill, garlic, onion and any other indgredients you want on top of skinless/boneless fillet. Lay it on the bottom 3 layers. Put on your top layers. Roll the edges around to completely encapsilate the fish. Unfortunately the part I don't remember is how hot and for how long. I think our chef did it at 350° for between 20 and 30 minutes but not sure. It might have been lower heat so the dough didn't burn. Wish I could remember because it was delicious.

I grew up in Oregon but moved back home to Hawaii a while back. It’s nice to relive my childhood through your channels. I currently work on a few sport fishing charters out of Oahu, if you and the addicted crew ever want to come out and fish for marlin, yellowfin or any other pelagic or inshore species lmk. I can set up some charters and other outdoor activities (hunting, spearfishing, etc.) throughout the island chain. If your interested dm me and we can make it happen. Mahalo for the awesome content and look forward to getting you guys bent soon🤙🏾

5:40 The best way to pull wet braid thru a slip float is to put a mono loop up thru the bottom of the float, put the tag end of the braid thru the mono loop and then pull the loop thru the float. Just a bobbin threader, for those fly tyers out there!

Don't forget to cook off the meat from the backbone and collars. Great for salads, pasta, and chowders. #nowaste I've collected the carcasses from my trips from my fishing partners and probably have about 12-13 lbs of just extra meat from the backbones and collars. Gonna be making salmon patties or salmon tacos outta the bounty. 😋😋😋😋
