A lot of hard work went into learning to do those things. People say it's talent, I wish I could do that, blah blah blah. You can, you just have to have the passion to do it day in and day out for years. It's hard work like every other art. Everyone has the ability, but not everyone has the will to spend the time necessary to reach that level. I hate the word talent. People use it like that person has a cheat code. Nope. They were just willing to put in the work.

I enjoyed this rendition and the showmanship. This man played the hell out of his bass and put on a great show - love that! BTW - Adore Scott's many efforts and arrangements over the years, and the fine piano man here, so get the sticks outta ya behinds, people... Diversity in Jazz is what makes the range of this music great. The grin and bounce in my step that this video has given me may last the whole day. 😂
