This soundtrack - I swear. One of the greatest pieces of musical work to ever accompany a movie. Idk if it was something to do with Travolta but, from Grease, to Saturday Night Fever, to Urban Cowboy, to Staying Alive... seems as if you couldn't miss. Always one of my favorites.

And in a way also credit the fantastic editing which led that faster paced dance being the most beautiful interpretation of this song . Its effect will never run dry on anyone still feeling love . Even today with the corona virus keeping people apart this is a great song to keep that heartfelt touch in your hand waiting to be shared.

I met Sly when he filmed COBRA on the boardwalk and Frank years later when my band opened for him at the BRITANICA in Santa Monica. The soundtrack to this film STILL holds up! SO MUCH TALENT!

I was hooked to all the scenes that featured your music, your voice. The reason is: Your songs enhanced the romances we see on screen. Even on "Moody Girl," you make the melancholy that John Travolta's Tony is feeling, feel real. And your lyrics and voice create colors to Finola Hughes' capriciousness and make us understand how moody she is, and how moody she makes Tony. Both Cynthia Rhodes and Finola Hughes were so beautiful in this movie -- and they still are beautiful -- so your ballads tremendously deliver even more depth to their characters, as love interests of Tony. ... I can't say enough about "Waking Up," an understated erotic song that you sing with great passion. The professional dancers in the movie Staying Alive were saying that Travolta was good enough to make a living on Broadway. That's how good of a dancers he became. Cynthia Rhodes was a world class talent what a revelation. It's a great loss for Hollywood that she stopped working. One of the great dance scenes in the history of cinema with perfect music to match.
