They'd survive the apocalypse. Giant property where they can social distance and still enjoy the outdoors without exposure to others. Vegetable gardens and chicken coops help them lessen trips to crowded grocery stores where who knows how many people have handled the produce. They also run a small business selling soap- a now scare item. They are freelance workers allowing them to create their own business schedule and not interact with coworkers. Of course they're zen, they're ready for this!

"Everyone else on social media is going insane"? That depends on who are you following. I see a lot of videos and tweets in Rachel's style. People show many examples how to stay calm and what you can do in your free time. You choose who to follow, who to listen to.

Hey Rachel! I was thinking, I would LOVE a video about your recommendations on tools for gardening, what have you found most useful (multi-functional is always a bonus), tips and tricks. We just moved into our new home in December and have 2 acres. We're really excited to start our gardening, but honestly it's so hard to decide where to begin. Do you start from seed indoors and if you do, any pros and cons? I'm really interested in your experiences. As always, I've loved your content and the evolution of it. We're in a similar spot in our lives right now and you're just so relatable.

Home schooling is definitely the way to go! I was homeschooled from kindergarten up and I feel like it really allowed me to stretch my learning in a way that fit my mind. I’m pregnant with mine and my husband’s first child and plan to homeschool her when the time comes! Socialization is important but not as hard as people think, I met new kids on the playground at parks and learned to have adult conversations with the ladies at church, there are tons of homeschool groups you can join with for activities if that’s something you’re really worried about or just want the extra resource for your family!

Been following your journey for years now, and I watch every video but don't comment very often. I just love the vibe of this video, so peaceful to watch. I always pictured you as a homeschool mama. I have been homeschooling my 2 girls 4 & 5.5, for a year now and it's been such a blessing and so fun to watch them grow and learn. Also, your garden is perfection. My husband and I are starting our garden and have built raised beds for outside. We have several veggies, herbs and fruit thriving inside right now. Here in MI, it's still a bit cold to take them out. Your garden videos and cooking videos are an inspiration to me and my family. Thank you! ❤

Wonderful Rachel. There’s a book called An Everlasting Meal that teaches you how to carry leftovers over to the next day and the next. It’s like a meal chain letter. Lol. I found it very useful. Even if you just carry over one ingredient into the next day or meal. It shows nothing has to go to waste. I’m trying to entertain a 12 year old and a 1 year old. It’s very interesting 😳 finding activities they both like is difficult. Lol

This video makes me envious. I would love nothing more than to quarantine myself at home for the foreseeable future. But, I work in a skilled nursing facility, so I am off to work every day to do my best to take care of our patients who are so vulnerable-- in a facility where we are literally running out of proper cleaning supplies. I appreciate a video bringing a little bit of calmness to my anxious days. Thinking of the folks who are losing their jobs and livelihood right now. Hope you all can find some peace as we weather this storm!

Semi Veg, I’ve always wanted to homeschool but bc of situations throughout the years, I have been unable to do. My children r older, but my 12 year old is doing public school at home now. It’s giving us the experience without an entire school year commitment. My oldest is 21 and a junior in college but I have a 1 year old that I really think I want to homeschool. I live in SC and they passed a law that 4 year olds go to all day kindergarten from 8:00-2:30. That is just too long, in my opinion. I’m trying to look at the positives in this situation and seeing what I can learn from this quarantine experience.

For rainy days, if you don't mind, get them raincoats, make them rainpant and raincoats, so they can jump in the muddle puddles!!! or let them play in the rain with the watering cans and mix water with food colouring... since your backyard is huge they can still go out and play and play. Or time to buy a larger playground structure for them!!!

so refreshing to hear a parent actually enjoy homeschooling their kids. It's just refreshing to see that there is a family enjoying themselves. There's a lot of "funny memes" about parents hating homeschooling and I personally think it's just sad. lol anyway..thanks Rachel! always a pleasure to watch your videos.
@asmaachafi10404 жыл бұрын
I agree but I also think it depends on the day job of parents. I have a 1 year old at home and as much as I LOVE having him home all day, it is exhausting to work so we need to do it during nap time and late at night which means no rest for my husband and I and cluttered appartment... but it's fun to be all together at home
@tringting1014 жыл бұрын
Homeschooling part is not the issue here. Both me and my husband work and it is extremely difficult to have the kiddo all day at home. Just because you see some funny memes about a situation, doesn't make it unreal or fake. Hope you are having fun if you have kids home.

Hi Rachel, I wanted to let you know because I'm not sure if you do or not, that while epsom salts are AWESOME and really really good for you, they do draw toxins out of the body but if you don't wash off with soap after soaking in them the toxins will sit on your skin and re-enter your body - yikes! So a tip is to always wash off with soap after soaking in epsom salts. I love your videos and have been watching for so long! Stay safe and God bless!
