This is so cool. They take the history of the building seriously, and it has SO MUCH visual interest and appeal. It feels authentic and not too dressed up.
Thank you for your videos. I always enjoy them with a cup of tea and my cat. Stay safe in your travels.

I was literally waiting for reservations for this ryokan to be available in october and in my head i literally thought “i wished travelgeek would review this ryokan”. And suddenly i see a video appear one hour ago??? Luckyyyy! Edit: i’m here now staying for 2 nights! They added a youtube commentary guide (unlisted) for english speakers! This place is huge, we went around for 1 hour and there’s also cats roaming! You can get pins of cats from the gachapon machine in the ryokan 🤣🤣🤣

It's synchronicity magic. Happened to me once on youtube too. I wished to hear a specific type of cover of one song, and it magically came to me. Anyway, just want to say: have a nice trip.

Technically it's cell phone magic, the phones use quartz which is a great all purpose stone in metaphysics. Basically the crystal picks up on your thoughts and brings it to the device for you to see. Sort of like a metaphysical algorithm but also not 😊.

@@TheKen82815 Sorry late reply! Yea I managed to book my 2 nights for October at this ryokan. I'm super excited. There's two tours, one for the ryokan tour and I think they also have a morning tour for hot spring facilities! I can't wait! :D

7:22 that's what im thinking too! It feels and looks grandparents house. But at the same time looks eerie 😅 it feels like someone will hunt you. I guess its because of the old furniture and interior since its been 200 years since the hotel stablished. Its still cool and great experience staying in this kind of hotel.

I find your videos so interesting. I do not think I could get my old body up off the floor after sleeping there. But then again, I do not have access to all those wonderful hot spring baths. I would be so pruney if I lived near there because I'd be in the hot springs all the time. Do they smell like sulfur? The few hot springs I have been to in the USA (California ones) smelled like rotten eggs. Even your urine will smell like that for a few days afterwards. The snow monkeys were incredible. I love how everyone (tourists and locals alike) all stay on the marked paths and do not try to interact or interfere with the monkeys. Here in the US, we have too many stupid entitled people who would try to put them in their bags and taken them home with them.
@swissfoodie35423 ай бұрын
I havent been to this ryokan, but to several other similar places in Japan, with onsen (hot springs) and japanese rooms with tatami mats and futons, where you sleep on the floor. Yes, the onsen smell of sulfur, but not in a bad way. Myself, I cant sit for more than 5 minutes on a chair right on the floor (as its often the case in those japanese rooms) and after that, my legs start to pain. But I sleep like a baby on a futon (and I am a very bad sleeper). Its sometimes a bit though to get up, but its totally worth it :-).
