STAYING IN AN OFF GRID TINY HOUSE | Tiny Home Melbourne, Victoria to rent | Unyoked | Travel vlog

We spent the night in a tiny house rental near Kyneton in Victoria, Australia. It's just over an hour from Melbourne and is the perfect getaway for a night or weekend. We booked it through a company called Unyoked and this specific house is called Micah.
It's in a beautiful location on private property with barely any phone reception which is great, as the purpose of the stay is to switch off and disconnect. It has a small creek running through the property, a very short walk from the house. There were a lot of sheep and lambs running around on the way in but only a couple were in the same paddock as the house.
The tiny house is completely off grid with solar, gas, hot water, a composting toilet, shower, kitchenette and sleeps two people.
We got the campfire going and baked potatoes on the coals for dinner. We roasted marshmallows and relaxed in the hammock watching the stars. It was perfect.
The bed was comfy as it has a koala mattress and pillows and we didn't get cold at all during the night!
In the morning we cooked damper on the fire for breakfast and went for a walk down along the river.

Stunning ! Thanks for this tour of an unyoked tiny house ! I plan to build my own tiny house completely off grid and I’m asking myself how unyoked has deal with the water ? I don’t see any water tank but I think it is under the trailer ? Do you know how much time / water you had during your stay ? Thanks and keep continue !

Haha such an epic fail 😂 I just posted a video recipe for damper that actually works, almost a year later haha!

I love doing a cheese chive and bacon damper but you can substitute for anything 2 cups S.R flour 200ml milk 60g of butter melted NOT margarine A good handful of cheese A good handful of diced uncooked bacon (bacon pieces are ok too) A good amount of fresher chopped chives you could just buy a 10g packet of fresh chives from the supermarket Just combine everything, add milk or S.R flour to get the mixture to the right consistency. I prefer to use unsalted butter as I find the bacon gives it enough salt. I like to score my damper on top BEFORE baking, when it comes out it's fantastic for aesthetics but even better to easily break open in smaller pieces. If you do try it and you remember tell me what you think of it. I found the recipe on you tube by some Aussie guys but I lost the channel so I can't link it unfortunately
