.....yes, I am concerned for my 3 children.....who are being swallowed up by the world and have turned away from the Lord. I am concerned, who will pray for them when I am gone ? Who will be there to lift them up to the Lord every day...pleading His mercy for them, that He might enter into their worlds and "MOVE" them ! .....but I put my eyes on Jesus.....I trust that God is Good and He does ALL things well. He hears my prayers for them.....He is not willing that anyone should perish and does NOT delight in the destruction of the wicked. Blessed are they who "wait upon" the Lord....quietly....with patience.....eyes on Jesus...eyes on Jesus !!!

I absolutely love Alistair Begg’s sermons. He is truly anointed by God. One day I was painting my dining room walls and had Rev Begg’s sermons on continuous play for about four hours, and I never got tired of hear what he had to say. From what he just said about his upcoming birthday we are only three years apart in age. He teaches what I grew up hearing every Sunday morning and evening, and Wednesday evenings, and revival weeks. May God continue to bless Alistair Begg and his ministry and his family❤

Anointed? Is he infallible or fallible? Myself doesn't know about your many watchers & listeners as neither do you. It's worth noting that many, if not most, are self-proclaimed Christian bcuz of what they've done. Whether they all recited Billy Sundays' sinners prayer of invitationalism, most likely, altar call, confession repentance, etc. each thinking they did what the Bible says so God had become obligated. Why don't you have a video that asks people to comment what their theology is? Or, ask them, how'd they become Christian but not their non Christian friends and neighbors? All humanity is dead. Romans 5 12. So, if we're all dead how'd these professing modern-day evangelical Christians make themselves alive? Everytime asked they never respond. 🙄

@@EXSVENRG That's correct. But we shouldn't misinterpret that to mean He's just going to let everyone into Heaven regardless of their deeds. Despite the section heading in many Bibles, Luke 16, verses 19 to the end is NOT a parable but an ACTUAL occurrence. If it's a parable, it's the only one where Jesus mentions someone by name.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined-and everyone undergoes discipline-then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.” (Hebrews 12:1-3, 7-8, 11-13 NIV)

However when he talks about the faith once delivered I have to diverge from his Calvinistic interpretation of the Gospel. It is certainly not what many of the early Church Fathers believed regarding the Good News.and I would argue neither did the Apostles. My prayer is that whilst I agree Salvation is found in Christ alone we also nerd to learn the leghth, breadth, height and depth of God's love and his desire for all of Mankind not just the elect. Oh what a truth the church finds itself in todays culture. The church, in general, today must accept much of the mess we find our culture in as it/we have succumbed to passively permitting the culture to subtlety yet profoundly accept the lie of separation of church from the livelihood of the citizenry, rather than boldly standing for the truth of the gospel and changing the culture to be more like Christ than like Satan! In the words of a Zach Williams song our daily walk should daily be about being a little more like Jesus and a little less like me. The church has lost its way in line with prophecy that the road is narrow and the gate is small that leads to life. Far too much of the church has gone by way of Matthew 7:22-23 by means of its own delusion!

I am Catholic and heard part of the sermon. I enjoyed hearing it. In what comes to ecumenism and his view regarding tradition I do not agree with him. What was Jesus' prayer in John 17? Only through prayer could we get closer to Jesus by converting from our views and hence closer to each other. 2. Scripture was written during the first generations of the church. So tradition preceded the scripture and brought it. Both are necessary. Our Lord has inspired the church throughout the ages and that inspiration is valid for us today.. that's a great treasure I can't understand how you renounce it. Anyway. God enlighten us.

When you refuse to submit yourself only to the authority of Holy Scripture, you have willingly enlisted in the army of hell. Period.
@JLS5311 ай бұрын
Rather than saying, "Stay the course," first, make certain that you are even on the 'course'. In John 7.38, Jesus said, "Whoever believes in Me..." Let's stop right there. Jesus is about to describe a person who is saved through the Cross of Christ. Conversely, it also describes the false Christian, those who have deceived themselves, those who will wind up in hell forever. The Bible says we should 'work out our salvation with fear and trembling.' I hope that you will not miss out the restoration of all things! Yet, most Christians will trivialized the words of Christ, saying, "Well, whatever that means!" Do not be a fool! So many times, Jesus has said, "Be careful how you hear"! Referring to the Holy Spirit, Jesus said, "Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them." Do you know what the Lord means? Are you filled with the Holy Spirit? Does He bear witness that you are saved? Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

How are all things restored (Apokatastasis) if some are in hell (a word that is a catch all for Sheol/Hades, Gehenna, Tartarus but not a correct translation) for ever. Colossians 1v15-20 is worth considering, this is not to say there is no judgement, for we shall all be judged. What we need to consider is the nature and purpose of that judgement.
@JLS537 ай бұрын
@@stephengorman1025 For those who know Christ, who are filled with the Holy Spirit, all things will be restored in that there will be no more death or pain. Yes the numbers may diminish, as we see in the parable of the sower, those in the rocks and weeds And John writes about those leaving the body of Christ. 1 John 2:18-19-18 Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. What strikes me is the glaring contradiction of using Jude 3-4 to promote the teachings of a particularly licentious man from the 16th century. I submit that if you really examine the matter humbly and critically, you find that the success of sola scriptura is based more in the gospel of of “let’s do it my way” not the Master’s way. You become your own holy spirit because the real one is inconvenient. I’m constantly amazed at how nobody blinks an eye at the fact the JWs use the same doctrine of sola scriptura/personal inspiration to deny the Trinity and other Christian doctrines. If sola scriptura was true, and everyone can and should interpret scripture for themselves, why is it dividing us rather than uniting us? Why do we now joke, let’s make like a church and split? It is properly called Protestantism because it protests against “the Faith which was once delivered, for all, to the saints.” Submission to The Master, necessarily requires submission to The Faith.

Dear Pastor Begg - I was raised Catholic, educated in Catholic schools, and as a Christian been to many different denominations. One thing that stands out is that people who do not care for denominations that are not their own tend to get very inaccurate information about those "other" denominations. They tend to get that inaccurate info from others like themselves who do not like other denominations. I never have been taught these things you claim Catholics believe. You might make an appointment with a respected local priest and be surprised how wrong you are about Catholicism. Another thing that has been made clear to me is that people who preach what they think are the faults of other denominations miss great opportunities to advance Christ's message and do a great deal of harm towards getting the message of Christ's love and forgiveness that is available to every human being.

When you refuse to submit yourself only to the authority of Holy Scripture, you have willingly enlisted in the army of hell. Period. The Pastor didn't say anything that is not true about Roman Catholism. You have chosen traditions over God's word. That is your prerogative and it is his duty to warn those who did this unknowingly. You obviously don't belong in that group.
