That intake and velocity stack bring back memories of tunnel rammed rides when i was a teenager back in the late 70's & early 80's. I was in High school, driving my dad's cruiser 4-banger 2300 that we transformed into a full chassis, big block powered (428), tunnel rammed, back halved, full caged Pinto Runabout [yeah the 2 door hatchback deal] with top loader and "Old Skool" line lock set-up that WE built/created as my first car... That beast pulled wheels at every stop light. Man! I miss those days! Hence, the custom rod/speed shop I have today. Yep, I'm still spinning wrenches, sewing custom upholstery, and squirting custom kandy paint/airbrush graphics.... Who says our childhood has nothing to do with creating who we are in the future?!? Thank God they do!! Even though I'm a Ford Mustang guy by preference (60's era mostly. The cream of my crop is a Hampton blown small block 460 '65 Shelby GT350 and '66 Factory wide-body Mustang Coupe with sequential dog box, 390 big block stack injected fun house ride. And a '68 427 Cammer powered Fastback GT/A Shelby)....I'm also an all-around car guy who recognizes a badass build when I see one. I truly appreciate every dude and dudette, who takes an old car, saves it, and builds it into one badass beast!!! Let's Gooooo!!!! That said, i can't wait to see that V-12 Mustang you've got in the fire!

I'm 43 and been into these for 27 years. The initial buyers were mostly boomers, but that's more what they cost off the lot than anything else. The facts are that anything C4 and up are the best performance bargains on the secondary market, period. With just a few mods, any working man can turn one of these into a damn weapon just like you've shown. As always, thank you guys for the content.

My 2000 short bed Silverado came with a 6.0 out of Arizona to Indiana. I love standard cab short bed trucks. Also my 2000 was a 4x4 with limited slip. All factory. I just added roll bar inside and Hella lights 6 8inch on the bumper. Loved that truck.

My favorite episode yet! As someone who has built a c5 many times, I highly recommend you get a speed bleeder on there for the clutch. It's almost necessary for c5 builds which sucks because the torque tube has to be removed to install it. Also I couldn't really tell but it looked like the target top latch is open. Make sure all 3 latches are closed or those tops are known to fly off lol.

Time 508 Garage door Before winter hits, get some foil faced foam insulation board and set it into the garage door panels, usually 2 layers of 3/4" thick board works out. A single layer steel door is just like having the door open so insulation makes a huge difference winter and summer. Having some removable panels for the windows would help as well.

Stone should do a full center console on the Silverado. Ty Brink on KZbin shows how to make them, he even sold them at one time, maybe still does. Uses a modified tie rod then puts a camaro shifter into a stock Silverado full center console. Looks killer!!!

The vortex max was a production 6.0 short bed single cab. I’ve worked on 3, they were all white for some reason, in my experience. Love the vette though. Great show guys.

Vortex max's were only crewcab and extcab 1500s. Never a regualr cab. They made RST silverados that were all RCSB and 5speed, but they also never had a 6.0. Only 4.8L. Maybe those only you got to work on were clones just like mine. 🤷‍♂️
