Boy I hope this is a part of the plan between Jed and Ste, otherwise, Ste's impulsivity got him in trouble again. They told him a gradual leave would be best so that they wouldn't get suspicious but he was determined to have it done right away, the same day and as always his impulsivity lands him in shit. I understand he couldn't bare the thought of staying another second though. I've had problems with my own impulsiveness. His impulsivity got him into the far right group in the first place, not stopping long enough to question what he's being told, what he actually feels just wanting instant justification and validation.

PREVENT should have adviced him to go with Jed immediately without any belongings as they should know that this group is dangerous and could suspect Ste to run away at any time and therefore lock him in. A woman that is in danger of a violent boyfriend should also run immediately and noone would recommend her to go back to him.

That was the most stupid thing I have ever heard from a organization that wants to help people escape bad groups!!! He had a chance to get away and if Ste was a bit smart he should have understood the risk to go back. PREVENT should have helped him to make Leela and the kids understand that they are in danger of this group and that they could get hurt/kidnapped to blackmail Ste.

Most of them didn't even realize until Ste was trapped into the group or after this bomb incident. Also once you're in a gang, you can't just walk away from them because you already know too much.

Je ne sais pas. J’éprouve un sentiment d’insatisfaction dans le recrutement de Steven par Stuart et Johnny, un manque, un je ne sais quoi d’inachevé, ou d’imparfait ! Okay, Ste a embrassé leur idéologie ( semble t-il, sans savoir qu’elle était raciste. C’est invraisemblable, mais c’est ce que Hollyoaks a voulu faire passer comme tel. Mais peu importe), a donc agit pour le compte de cette idéologie en commettant des actes odieux et haineux. Les Maalick ont été pour cela ses principales cibles. Mais maintenant qu’il a ouvert ses yeux, ce qu’il a fait me paraît une « goutte d’eau », par rapport à ce que Johnny a fait. Je m’attendais à quelque chose qui arrache le coeur, comme font souvent les radicalisés. J’avoue que je suis déçue. La phase d’endoctrinement c’est assez bien passée, à cause de sa vulnérabilité et sa stupidité. La phase de désendoctrinement, il a l’air de l’avoir effectuée tout seul ( étrange). L’éloignement avec le groupe, (tenté tout seul, ou avec l’aide d’un tiers) nous y sommes et j’apprécie les efforts de la production pour en présenter les difficultés et les manquements. Mais là encore quelque chose me turlupine. Steven connaît désormais la dangerosité des deux frères, et eux savent qu’il les a démasqué et veut les quitter. Est-ce que Stu et Jo pense qu’ils peuvent encore l’obliger à commettre des crimes par exemple, pas des larcins, pour eux? Quel est l’intérêt de le retenir sous leur toît? Juste être un esclave des temps modernes? Pourvu qu’Hollyoaks ne fasse pas du Hollyoaks cette fois-ci!

I like Steven, i do not like what’s happening to him, but I’m know also that he’s put himself in this situation. And it seems that getting out of all of this will not be easy! But we have to see the good side of things, he is in a « gilded prison », ( he has his phone, watchs tv, has electricity, gets out of his cage, ...) while Tony may only have one pig , as a cell neighbor!

Stuart took his phone and he can´t go out on his own so he is trapped. PREVENT should have helped him immediately and also protect his children. The children is an easy target as a blackmail object for the group. I don´t understand why they recommended him to go back. They should have told him to go with Jed without any belongings and also find protection to his children as they would be in danger if Ste leaves the group.

Ann-Christine Nilsson I know that i delight in the misfortune of two individuals, and that it’s not good. That’s my sarcastic side. To be honest, no one has to endure that! But, Steven must learn and answer for his actions, and the best would be before courts. Yes, i have no doubt that he is trapped, that’s why I’m talking about « Golden jail », but jokingly, and comparing his situation to Tony’s . But, regarding the prevention services, do not they have steps to follow, because precisely they are used to this kind of situation? For me, Steven also has lacked of tact and vigilance and Unfortunately, he has children in the middle of it all. It’s nice that Hollyoaks producers are highlighting all these aspects.

@@arcadie3374 It´s good that this storyline is showing and unfortunately these things happen in real life with people like Ste that is not so clever and vulnerable and because Ste is pretty stupid it seemed to be easy to manipulate and brainwash him even if he has questioned things. That must organizations like PREVENT keep in mind and act from. They must have understood the desperate situation that Ste was in. If Ste had been clever he wouldn´t have been in this mess. Ste has his flaws but that shouldn´t prevent him from getting help and also the children. I guess they show the problems and flaws with organizations like PREVENT.

Ann-Christine Nilsson Tu supposes bien. Hollyoaks certainly wants to open our eyes and touch the most many, to try to make things better. But you are not unaware that in all institutions or organizations, there is an administrative service and who says administration says slowness. So, i think there will always be frustrations, whatever the progress I will add that, of course, Steven and his children have the right to get help, i have nothing against that
