Oh no, James:-( It's sad to see him break down, thinking the love of his life's dead. I was about to say "James is a smart cookie though, he'll figure it out" but he could be too heartbroken to think straight. I hope Kyle's pulling a fast one on Sami. I hope it backfires on Sami. He hasn't been getting any follow up messages. Scott's back to meddling, haha, missed it and lol at Ste's face coming downstairs hahahaha. Oh boy. I don't know how long this is going to go on for but I feel like it'll have a happy ending for James and Kyle.

Everything is messed up. James and kyle, Ste and Harry. The writer needs some "sweets", he is so "bitter". I hope Ste and Harry will be alright. And I hope Kyle will come back and help James. I want these two couples happy.

This is where I jump ship. They have been pushing for this story during Amy's death. I can't take another drawn out story. Now just because Kyle is jealous and thinks he wants the kid he messed up his own relationship.

koma5694 What is there to hate him for in doing sex work? The literal only other person it affects is Ste, and as long as he was using protection, he can stop any time without any real issues. Yes he shouldn’t have lied to Ste but it’s also a soap... it’s not always that deep lol

juliancisthebest. Evidently you don't see prostitution as wrong nor do you see prostitution as a societal issue. We don't know if Harry uses protection. Obviously Harry cannot stop prostituting himself. At least you agree that Harry should not have lied. I realize Hollyoaks is a soap and can be quite superficial but if that be the case why are you even bothering to post a comment?

koma5694 koma5694 I commented because I don’t like the idea that people are this close-minded about sex work, because it has real world implications to think like that. As for possible lack of protection, we have no confirmation of that so there isn’t a point to dwelling on it, and shaming Harry for having sex for money isn’t really a productive way to address that. We also have no reason to believe he “cannot” stop what he’s doing either. Anyway, you can think what you want, but I said something because I hoped it might do some good.

Tsunade Sama. James has not been charged with murder, yet. The police are conducting a murder inquiry. They have sufficient evidence to hold James. He can be charged with murder even though a body is never found.

koma5694 It would have taken much more evidence than what they have so far to make such a charge to be upheld in court. Judging by the amount of blood on the stick, there should have been far more blood, splattered all around the walls and roof of the living room. Not only that, the blood would appear in a certain pattern, where both the number of blood splats and drops, plus the shape and direction of them, all would have identified exactly where in the living room Kyle had been beaten to death with his own stick - had this been a real murder. For Kyle to have been concluded to have been murdered, despite a body had not been discovered, the police would either have to have discovered so much of Kyle`s blood inside the flat he couldn`t possibly have survived the blood loss. Or they would have had to find other biological evidence proving Kyle to be dead (GORY DETAILS ALERT), like fragments of brain tissue on the stick he was hit with, or elsewhere in the flat. Without definite proof Kyle couldn`t have survived his injuries - and equally solid proof he actually had been killed with intent, it would have been virtually impossible to get him convicted for Kyle`s death, because all guilt has to be proven beyond reasonable doubt - and the fact Kyle couldn`t with certainty be concluded to be dead, would have ment that legal requirement likely would have been found not to have been met. To identify the exact amount of blood on the scene, not only would luminol and ultra violet light be used to see if any blood had been cleaned up, but floorboards, wall to wall carpets and lists would have been ripped open to check if there was blood underneath them. If there hadn`t been - and nor any other biological material of Kyle`s which would suggest him to be dead (like brain tissue) had been found in the flat or on the stick, the police is likely to either have concluded Kyle`s injuries were not life threatening, or that his blood had been planted on the crime scene to create the impression he was dead. Because there was so much blood on the stick, compared to on the wall, they are most likely to have concluded the blood to have been planted. And whether or not Kyle had a life insurance, and if so who benefited from it in case of his "death," would have been the first the investigators asked themselves.

I wrote what I wrote, cause I found your "he can be charged with murder even if a body is never found" to be a little sparse on information, so I added some details of what it would have taken to get someone convicted of a killing without a body. Plus some details of why this scheme of Sami`s is not a very realistic way of getting James framed for murder. This reply was simply to test you. Cause if you were truthful in your last statement, not only will/would you not be reading this - nor will/would you have bothered to leave me another reply, cause unless you read this, how would you know what it said - or even that it was addressed to you?

New is perhaps placing the bar too high - I would settle for something which made sense, and characters who had one personality - instead of gaining and losing both brains, guts and temper from one storyline to the next. Even their memory seems to ply tricks on them from time to time (or maybe it is just the writers`?).

Tvjunkieful12 I’d be happy just to see gays portrayed in a more social setting. Invite other gay couples over for dinner or a party. Go to a movie, picnic even fishing. Anything besides the same old stints over and over again. These guys only hang out with family. How unrealistic is that. Are there only four gays in Hollyoakes? I know it’s a soap don’t expect miracles

Claude Jones Since you mention it, it struck me that for a while Hollyoaks had more killers than gays in the show and that tiny village. And I fully agree a little twist to the angles and storylines of the characters would have made a welcome change. All the artificial break ups and more get tiresome when repeated over and over. But soaps can, when they apply their resources correctly, manage great storylines which either are groundbreakingly entertaining and original, or profoundly poignant dramas. In my opinion soaps works best when are characterdriven, in the sense the characters' personality dont constantly change from storyline to storyline. But instead move those characters in and out of a mixture of scenes, and storylines, from drama and comedy, to suspense and crime or romance and more.
