I think Amber Sapphire and Amber Steel gained LILO set 6 as an invaluable tool for Lore Rushing. I’m uncertain which is better. But Steel at least has the best draw outside of Amethsyt. So that’s my two cents on the next deck combos to explore.

I'm having such a difficult time making this deck work. Blue green is my favorite color combo so I'm always down to try new builds. I want this deck to work so bad, but I just can't cross the finish line with it it seems. A gameplay video of this actually put into action would be really helpful.

Great guide. I had a fun but swingy time last week playing this type of build with Big Blue Legendary Mufasa being the closer instead of Ariel. I used Goofy and Alice to give him ward so he could stick around a turn, and his ink-readying power meant I could always dig and pay for another You Came Back. How Far I'll Go was also helpful to ramp and dig for combo pieces. Cheers!

I've been playing a very similar list decks/wpaNLrQz6KL6CByo9hAX but much more low to the ground. I try to abuse cheaper ward and evasive characters like Pegagsus, Noi, Duke and Alice to quest to 8ish and burst of 12 with YcB to finish them on turns 5 or 6. I also try to abuse Oswald + Hypnotic Deduction to cheat in Lucky Dimes, or Eye of the Fates which both are very good in the grinder match ups. Overall I feel like it has pretty good match ups with Steel Song being the only meta deck it struggles with.

I was messing with a "Hypnotic Oswald" deck when the set first released, its a really fun combo.

I think it's actually competitve into the slower decks like Red Purple and Red Blue. I think the real allstar though is Medal of Heros. If you can get to 8 with an Alice, and Duke / Noi in play. Medal on the 2 quester ward, +1 with alice questing taking us to 10. Quest, ready with YcB quest is 12 for just 5 ink. It can do some crazy bursts out of no where, and people don't really see it coming.

Could you make a video on how to create your core for decks?

This video is a decent guide. I start with 1 or 2 ideas that are the focus or identity of the deck (Using YCB to combo out 10-15 lore) then build from there. I then added tools to search for the combo (Hiram, Clarabelle, Vision) then I filled out the deck with proper character curves, backup plans, meta responses etc.

You can’t go wrong with Amethyst right now. You can pair it with anything and win so long as you know your deck and play it well.

Thank you for your amazing videos. Does "We Could Be Immortals" expire a) after your turn ended or does it b) last until the start of your next turn? In case of a): Is there any benefit at all using it?

It expires on your turn, so it's really not a great card. It's only useful if you are challenging, but that inherently makes it awkward as a song since you can't sing AND challenge with the same character. I just wanted to try to use it in an Inventor deck. I tested it a bit as well as the Tech Institute location, but neither are worth it (maybe next set!)

Have you tried 3-drop uninkable Alice instead of Goof? In almost all respects, it just feels like a 2-cost cheaper version of Goofy. Only downside of course being uninkablity, which you already have a decent amount of, so I presume that's the reason it's not in the deck. The other downside to replacing Goof is he's is a good target for You Came Back in case you don't have an Ariel -- but I like Alice as well because she can make other cards into better You Came Back targets, which I think is really cool

Yeah you're spot on - I had her in a lot of iterations of the deck, but I chose to run Banzai and Do It Again as my uninkables.

funny coinsidence because i cooked a similiar deck using the new alice and medaille of heros and a lot of ward character :-D medaille gives +2 for questing and alice gives +1 then ready chosen character with you came back :-D

Yes, and I mention it as an option near the end. I tired Dime a bunch and it never felt right to go that high, even though it's just 1 up from Ariel, that's now 2 "dead turns" to set up a combo. Focusing on lower lore into a simple You Came Back turn keeps things streamlined and has been more successful. The game is super fast right now, Dime has underperformed in most decks.

​@ssteadfast thanks! That makes a lot of sense. At that point, you'd probably end up changing the deck too much because you'd likley want to use oswald to get it for free. Now you're playing a different deck.

The deck has plenty of card draw as is and he somewhat clashes with Clarabelle, who I think is a lot more compelling when paired with Sapphire. Diablo is best in decks that have 1-3 cost songs for him to utilize easily while Evasive. It also doesn't feel great playing Diablo when every deck is purposefully running answers for him.

@@ssteadfast by the way congrats for your video and analysis! they are helping me a lot to expand my deckbuilding ideas. I would suggest/ try cutting Banzai and Don Carnage for Diablo. I will give it a try.
