This vid slaps. Nice work Dylan. My clients always want animations non stop so any ways of cutting time down like this will keep me as a patron!!

These functions like hover, that generate motion curves, are the speed stretched/ scaled to the length/ duration of the clip it’s applied to, once it’s in Final Cut Pro? Or will the speed value always be the same speed regardless of how long the clip is? If you get what I mean.

This is awesome. I've yet to work with Rigs in Apple Motion. Would love to see a video where you go more in depth on them :D

doesn't seem to be a way to edit the curve with the bezier pen tool. I see aI can edit the start offset and end offset. Can I manipulate the curve another way?

Thanks Bro for the wonderful videos. Perhaps a slight issue when we set the speed to 1. then the ramp in would complete at 1 sec and ramp out starts at 3 sec and is done by 4 sec, thereby no effect is taking place. Please let me know if this is desired? My intuitive though would be ramp in and ramp out 1 sec each leaving 3 sec in the middle. Please let me know your thoughts

Cool video, thanks! It would be really interesting to see publishing an effect to FCP... and then later renaming it. You have to delete the old one if you want to avoid clutter in your Effects browser (assuming you came up with a better name).... but then it will break old Projects right? I'm curious to know if that's JUST HOW IT IS.... or you have some solution.

Once I hit publish where are these files saved to if I want to go back and edit? I got really lost since you used a 59.94 frame rate and I was using 29.97. Finally figured it out. Thanks!

Hi Dylan, thanks so much for this awesome tutorial. But at 03:44 in your tutorial I'm completely stuck. When I slide the slider to 2 the Effect Source slides to 0 and I have normal motion. But when I slide the slider to 0 and the Effect Source slides to 100, rather than having fast motion, nothing moves at all. I can't seem to resolve this. Could you make this template available to download so can I see what I'm doing wrong. Thank you very much in advance! 😀

Awesome! I pay for plug-ins like this. Not that I will be able to try this but it's great to see how they are made.

Hi, thanks for your videos, the most useful videos about final cut and motion on KZbin! Please, help! Do you know how to use filters and masks from instagram or TikTok (or similar, like “makeup” and funny faces) in FCP? Is it possible?

Curious about how other similar plugins add a Motion Blur option to said animations. They usually go discreet-style: off, low, med, high motion blur presets for some reason though.

Alej! Somehow I missed this comment. Sorry my dude! This is just due to how Motion limits publishing Motion Blur to FCP. I am actually making a tutorial right now that goes in depth on that. Will be dropping Friday!

My animation is coming from the bottom left corner and leaving the top right corner, not sure how to change it to sliding left to right?

Hey Mattias! It sounds like you applied the parameter behavior to both the X and y value at the same time. To apply it to just one at a time, click the down arrow on the left side of the position parameter. Then you’ll see X, Y and Z. Click the down arrow to the right of the X parameter, and then apply the parameter behavior. This will do it individually, rather than all together, which makes stuff go at an angle.

@@TheFinalCutBro Thanks so much for the reply! You are right, I was applying it to the X, Y, and Z. I opened a new motion projected and started over from scratch following along again with you video and only applying to "X" and it works great now!!!!

The only problem with these videos are those at Apple see them and then in their next update undo all this lol Great vid
@TheFinalCutBro2 жыл бұрын
Haha you might think that! But Motion is designed to create plugins for Final Cut Pro, so Apple fully supports doing this! I just wish these tools would be in Final Cut by default.
