Using reference is never bad. Unless you’re taking the actual content and putting your name on it..then yeah thats bad. Using poses and influences from people and artists is always cool! As a matter of fact, Kohei Horikoshi in the Volume Cover of My Hero where Deku fights Muscular, the pose in the cover was completely taken from a Spider-Man vs. Carnage Cover! And one of his sketches of Dabi in a suit was taken directly from a Joker Comic! It’s about taking that reference and making it into something awesome yourself! Plus you learn the poses better after you do them!
