In this video I show you how to Subjugate the Ottoman Empire as France consistently within 5 years in Victoria 3. This method will work with several countries such as Austria, Russia, Prussia and Germany, but France and Britain are the easiest to do so with.

yeah you could, though at that point it's only like three years so probably not super worth it. But yes you absolutely can do that if you want to.

I used to do a similar opening strategy as France where I would transfer the EIC from Britain after declaring to protectorate Belgium. But sadly I think this no longer works, as accepting the cut down to size demand now disables your ability to make new subjects after accepting the demand, so the protectorate war goal disappears. It was fun while it lasted, as I'm sure this was!

@TobiasParadox yep. I have even done it the other way around. It's a long game. I even tried to enter the French market. I think it is something that would take until the 1900s. The thing is I wonder if 1.7 might make it easier. If you get before then I definitely you props.

It's not Istanbul, it was renamed to that with the founding of the modern Turkish state. The ottomans called it Konstantiniyye, which as you can guess it's just Constantinople in Turkish
