I'm stoked you guys are enjoying this video so much! Thanks for all the emails and Facebook messages telling me how much it's helping you like these: absolutely best little tip EVER----went from hitting it pretty good to hitting it scary great. My backswing has never felt so locked in......and all with a little set-up change------you are the best! - Papabrg Thanks Chuck, I’m in my second year as a student and your videos just keep getting better. Great video as ALWAYS Chuck. That's the BIG secret I've been searching for .I've just tried that and instantly felt that powerful backswing I've been longing to feel. For the first time, I could feel my lower body starting the downswing during the transition.I've been a member of rotary swing on and off for some time.I just felt that I wasn't getting to where I'd like to be. Each time I looked or searched for golf drills on youtube, I knew that your instructions are second to none and I'll find myself going back to rotary swing.I knew that there was something that I wasn't getting right until today. I'm convinced that the great seeds of kindness that you've been sowing to the golfing world will someday bring you a BOUNTIFUL harvest. Just keep your head up and forget all the distractions.

I’m a 79 year old that has been playing golf for past 25 years. This tip has helped me in several ways. (Hip movement, consistency, over all better swing, and didn’t cost $100 per hour!) Some how it coordinated several movements!

Thanks so much Chuck. Managed to get out in brilliant Autumn (Fall) weather in Melbourne, Australia to give this a try the day before the course closing due to the virus. Amazing how a small change enabled me to load the right muscles and great feel in the coil leading to an effortless downswing and powerful result. I think it would be important to be conscious not to open the shoulders when adjusting the hips and rib cage open a couple of degrees at setup. Once again brilliant stuff.

@@Rotaryswing - I always struggle just a little bit with getting just the right spine angle (tilt toward trailing leg) just right. I have always been more of a square setup guy. Opening my hips just a degree or two is providing me with two valuable things. (1) it is getting my spine angle correct easier. (2) it is moving my hands a little bit more forward (toward the target) during release allowing me to get just a little bit more forward press with my club shaft angle, which in turn guards against hitting fat shots .. this should allow for just a little bit more pure and consistent ball striking! .. great tip!

While comparing adding this tweak to my setup with my pre-tweak setup I noticed a few positive consequences of the change. I felt more stress/coil/load in the right ribcage/core at the top. I felt like my shoulder turn was less, but in the mirror, it was still about 90 degrees. Lastly, I've had a fused C6 & 7 vertebrae since a 1976 car accident, which resulted in not being able turn my head left as far as normal, (like you Chuck), but because this tweak has me feeling totally coiled at the top, I don't feel the need to overturn like I've been prone to do, which takes my head too far off the ball. Can't wait to see the results on the course. FYI: a few courses in San Diego are open, walk only, which has been cool to do again. Keep up the good work. Mike , a member for quite a while.

Awesome! I had quite a few people message me and say much the same thing. It’s so much easier and efficient to coil up at the top. I better file a copyright on this before someone steals it as their own too lol

Fantastic really helping loading the right side on the back swing without right hip wandering. One question, when I add this little setup rotation should I do the axis tilt hip bump before or after this rotation, does it matter ?

I have a question. On your backswing, does your left knee or lead knee flex and rotate? Or once you start the backswing after this setup, you just bring the left shoulder under your chin and don’t ever think about what your lead knee is doing?

??? for you. My big swing problem is when I start my swing from the top it feels natural to start my swing by throwing my shoulder causeing a over the top swing and shanking the ball.One good tip to break me from this habit?
@Rotaryswing
@Rotaryswing 4 жыл бұрын
My tip is to stop searching for "tips". RotarySwing is a complete system, not a random collection of conflicting band-aid fixes. You need to learn the fundamentals of how to move your body correctly and it will be impossible to shank it after that.

I haven't looked at his swing in a long, long time, but I do know him a little. When I broke my neck, he had his brain surgery and we went to the same physical therapist office and saw each other there all the time, although we never talked about golf, just cars! He's a motorhead like myself and had a V10 powered BMW M5 at the time that was quite a beast.
