Stealing A Motorcycle | Bike Trac GPS Trackers

Back in October I was invited by BeMoto and Bike Trac to test steal my old Fireblade project (Beasty). The idea being to see if using Bike Trac security they could locate me and the bike using the onboard GPS tracker.
The final video has been produced for BeMoto, but I have edited a version with a bit more about Beasty to use on my channel to share with you guys. Not my normal sort of content but worth sharing all the same, hope you enjoy it.

After having my previous bike stolen I highly recommend bike Trac service. Fortunately never had to use them but always felt secured that someone is watching over my bike. But in all honesty I sold my bike now and will never have one in U.K. anymore. The level of thievery is outrageous. Police and judicial system is only on your side if you are a criminal - but not if you brake the speed limit naturally. Owning a bike is a pain in the ass, alarms, trackers, ship anchor sized chains... owning bike supposed to be a pleasure not constant stress. No thanks, it’s not a country for motorcyclists.

Ive got Bike Trac on my both my bikes and its a great bit of kit. Sometimes i forget to put it in service mode when im washing them and they are on the phone within seconds of me starting to move the bike. Also you get a trigger if the battery drops below a certain level. For £7.99 (the cost of a large McDonalds meal) a month it provides peace of mind. Great video Chopsy!!

I’m always fascinated by these products, mainly from the perspective that if my bike was pinched I actively wouldn’t want it back. Yes, it makes sense for the insurers (hence the incentives on most products) but honestly, just send me a cheque... Great video Chops, as always.

Very clever film and tracking service (better than one fitted to our car which told us it was 3 miles away and in motion - bit of a surprise when it was actually parked in our drive). Think they might need a quicker pursuit vehicle for catching up with sports bikes though!

Hello, have the bike trac fitted to my bike, reports of recovery are excellent , takes a bit of getting used to regarding remembering to turn off while washing, servicing etc, the control room are quick off the mark to contact you if you forget, but, it gives peace of mind that it is working as it should. All the best for the forthcoming festive season and for a better year in 2021.

Very impressive Chops and great against the opportunist scrote but I still think they need to get that 2 hour window down as I hate to say it a dedicated thief that has the ability to get through the locks will probably have your bike stripped find and remove the tracker. Still excellent content mate keep up the good work

Really nice vid & good to revisit Beasty. Trackers as opposed to alarms are undoubtedly the way to go but cost & battery can be tricky depending which you go for. However definitely worth exploring further for the H2 at least I'm sure.

Definitely recommend Biketrac for peace of mind one thing they fail to mention is App has Rider down alert if the bike is dropped an emergency contact is informed.

That Biketrac looks pretty cool, I apparently won one for winning RiDE magazine's photo of the month but it never arrived which is a shame especially if we get insurance discount with it. Beasty looks amazing by the way as does the videography in this vlog, well done you!!

I won the same prize and didn't get it either. Contacted ride magazine and they chased the promotion guys. Took a month or so but did get it in the end. Moral of the story is contact ride and tell them. 😊

👍 Blade looks the business and it was a great build series with no outside influences from marketing depts or sponsors. Tracker system is great and hopefully it may help to reduce bike theft and aid recovery Meeting up with the ex Mrs for a ride!! Don't think I drink that much
