Halle (and TLM fans) have been through hell behind this movie so a lot of fans are more “sensitive” (for lack of a better term) when it comes to commentary on this film. Seeing even just the poster of this movie on social media can trigger a flight or fight response because of everything that has happened. Well I don't now about negativity and joylessness. Dylan's videos (especially After reactions) helped me through several depressive apathic episodes. Negative - maybe sometimes. But i mean, these are normal emotions, also the way Dylan express them is literally the opposite of joyless imho (English not my first language, hope i desribed my point well enough)

i think you are so right about how they are upset because your commentary isn't about the topics they are looking for. your film knowledge is my favorite part of your channel. you point things out in movies that i never noticed before and create new perspectives. other channels are talking about the social stuff, you are in your own lane and idk why they cant just accept that

Dylan is my favorite person on youtube. I've learned not to drink anything while watching his videos because I will laugh so hard I'll probably choke on my drink and die.
