In fact, when you speak about the koreans, for example, most of them do not eat dog or would even think about eating dog meat anyway. When I was about 8 years old, my family had a beautiful chihuahua and I loved him more than anything. He was such a good dog and he followed me everywhere. Back then, chihuahuas weren’t very common in Vietnam, so he was definitely unique. One time, I was at school, and we had some electricians come to the house. One of them must have left the door open and someone must have come in and snatched him. He would never leave the house on his own so he definitely didn’t wander off and got lost. I'm Vietnamese and my dog was almost stolen by the dogs thieves too. Luckily they miss her when they shot her and the bullet only cut her belly a little. Don't worry, she has made a full recovery since then and the dog thieves will never come to my village again. (sorry for my english, still learning). P.S: Oh I also just remember that when they tried to shoot her, a neighbor of mine who was sweeping the leaves saw and yell and then threw the broom at them. I think the broom hit them or something 'cause i really don't remember what happened but let's just say they ran away immediately.

I can imagine people in Vietnam would critizice our (western europe) way of living: we slaughter pigs, cows, calfs, turkeys, chickens for meat.....It's the way that dogs are killed over there that makes me feel very upset!!! My greatest respect for the journalist that made this report; I can imagine that she cried many tears during her stay in Vietnam.
