Now do a version where the doors don't open and everyone in the star base gets obliterated! I always thought it was silly they didn't open the doors for the Enterprise, they should have known Kirk better.

You mean Mr Scott, he did all the work to open the doors, and besides, star fleet at the time had greater things to care about than a rouge captain trying to secretly search for his lost friend. I mean who could have expected Kirk and crew to pull that off, and maybe Mr, Scott locked them out of the system so he had to only open the doors to get out instead to combat the commands put in my the space door security team in the observatory

I liked you "JJ-fied" Excelsior concept, although I missed some things from the original version. 1 The close up of the nacelles just making through the opening doors. "Good Morning Captain" (A reference to "Captain Kangaroo" which I think was still on then and the Excelsior chugging to a stop sounding like Mel Blanc doing Jack Benny's "Maxwell" from radio.

Had to add...I do like your bridge layouts, though my preference in set colours is the beige used in the TMP bridge and the ST:TFF bridge, white is just too hard on my eyes and the maroon of the ST:TUC bridge was just too dark. Never did like the LCARS of the TNG-Berman era, just too PlaySkool[tm] like.
