Very cool that you stayed there overnight! I think I visited that place when I was visiting my sister in 2009. Back then they were giving tours, you could go in the tunnel and see the carts on the track that they would fill up with gold. That was a beautiful view and sunset you got to watch from the top! ❤

Dry camping is a lot harder than it looks, u have to plan how much water u need, how much water u will use, not just for drinking, but washing, cooking, cooling, etc dehydration is a killer, so is electrolyte imbalance, can cause heart rate arrhythmia. Happy anniversary u2, my wife & l just celebrated our 36th year first date anniversary on Canada Day 🇨🇦 (we went to the Keg & were treated to a piece of Billy "Miner" pie, how appropriate 😆

I came across a video of yours a few weeks ago and couldn’t stop watching! I’ve now watched all your videos, some more than once. I love your adventures and videos, which give me a chance to live them through you, and wish I could do what you do.! You remind me so much of my daughter who is a few months younger than you. You both look, talk, and act so similar, especially with what you both say, “your handsome man (dog)”. My fatherly instincts kick in and I get so nervous watching do so much alone in the middle of nowhere. While I still get nervous for you, I’m happy to see you’re not alone at this mine. Parker seems like a real nice guy, but now my fatherly instincts feel the need to meet him and question his motives (lol). Can’t wait for the next video, and please be safe; as I always tell my daughters, “Always be aware of your surroundings!”

That building that you had questions about...it would have had cable lines running to it and back out. Could have been a lift like you use while skiing, or could have had carts to bring in supplies. The motors and such would have been farther up the hill.

That's soo cool, hiking and exploring an abandoned mine. 😀👍 (kinda reminds me of playing Minecraft and exploring an abandoned mine) 12:28 there is a solar panel on the roof, down left. 🔋🔌 (which means some electrical equipment is being powered. Probably some monitoring equipment or earthquake detection equipment, would be my guess) (might explain the helicopter during the night)

I've been here 3 times so far, super awesome place. If you have a higher clearance vehicle and take the road at 0:50 instead it's a much easier hike. At 5:34 that door is actually quite new and we only saw it on our latest trip (2023 fall). There are a couple other entrances that they did not block off but are harder to get to. (If you plan on going here again I know a potential way in, feel free to DM me and I'll let you know how) It looks like someone tried to prybar that lock open since we were there. Although I don't see the lock in your video, perhaps they were successful? Was the lock still there? There's also some more stuff which I assume was part of the mine near the bottom by the town that looks cool, but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

I cringed watching you removing your lenses like that, mainly because dust can enter and land on the sensor. You should change lenses in least dusty environment. One thing that you can always do when the lens is removed is point the camera down. Seems like an awesome place!
