Doublecrossgaming no it's poorly optimized on every platform. This game also is not meant to played on a console (imo) because of how fast movement is with a keyboard and mouse, you're severely limiting your movement by playing on a console as well as not getting the weapon change wheel on a console. PC is poorly optimized atm (even with the required specs I lag terribly.

That's what happens when you play-test a game, run feedback on the play-test, add features that the test players would like to see and play-test again. It's what Arkane called the "follow the fun" principle. More like "common sense" principle if you ask me, but considering the current state that the industry is in you gotta give them credit for going so hard.

Yaxion Thanks for the quick response. I've given the steam page another look, but it seems that people with a similar setup to mine are still experiencing some difficulties. Would you mind telling me what specs your pc has? Mine has a gtx980ti and an i7 in it.

8eewee First of all you would have to make a statement what "runs badly" exactly is for you. For some 30fps or even below is fine, for some 60fps is fine and for others 120fps is fine and so on. I can tell you some of the experiences i have made with the game. The most important parts of my system are these : 6700k @ 4.8 Ghz, 2x 980 Ti´s in SLI both at 1500/8000, 16GB G.Skill 3200Mhz DRR4. Now even after all the patching this game still drops below 60fps for me. And no, i don't speak about 4k or 1440p, it's dropping below 60fps on freaking 1080p. This is absolutely hilarious if you consider my system specs. Other Games which are looking better then Dishonored 2 are running at completely bonkers framerates on my system. At 1440p pretty much every game runs well above 100fps on my system. And i don't mean like 105fps, more likely 120-180fps ( depending on the game and on the scene of course ). The worst framerates you see on this system ( apart from Dishonored 2 ) might be something like 60fps in absolutely ridicolously packed scenes which aren't representative at all. Anyway, even when i hit good framerates in Dishonored 2, the framerate feels completely shit. Like on some levels where i have like constant 100fps it just feels like having 50fps in other games. It's just the (a)Void engine. A engine based on a completely fucked up ID TECH Engine that was never designed to run at more then 60fps/hz. These are the performance problems, not to mention the gameplay problems. I can't decide whether or not you should get the game, that's up to you. I can tell you one thing though, i have spend pretty much no time with the game apart from my casual emily walkthrough simply because i have no real joy playing the game. I never had. When i finished my walkthrough with emily i was like "thank god it's over, what a shit experience". Unlike Dishonored 1, which is still probably my favorite first person singleplayer of all time. Besides all the videos i make with Dishonored 1 i just like to make another casual walkthrough on it from time to time, simply because i like the game that much. Looking back at the experience i had with Dishonored 2 i now would not buy the game to be perfectly honest with you and trust me, i never thought i would say something like this. I expected this to be GOTY for me the first minute i played it, instead it was just a broken ass letdown, sadly.

The game works perfect now. I've got the i5 6600K, GTX970, 16GB RAM and it runs on high settings in stable 60fps all the time. If I had something like RX480, it would run much better, because of the VRAM that is too low in 970. And btw. it was fixed a long time ago. As far as I remember, the 1.3 patch in November did the work.
