This game is so underrated. The mechanic, the level design, the story and the graphics are just on point. And the multiplayer is another rare gem of Ubisoft's after they developed Assassins Creed multiplayer (1st person shooter combined with 3rd person action how genius an idea this is for a multiplayer). I just don't see why this game is so under-appreciated.

@Jimmy S it's one voice actor. Next to what other things the game has to offer it has no place or meaning if Sam has a different voice than in it's predecessors(if that's the word idk)

The game is underrated but the story was not “on point”. The story was generic and the changes made to Sam made the character boring and stereotypical. It’s more than just changing actors but that also contributed. The good parts of Blacklist are really good though. They basically did the impossible, taking the fast paced action of Conviction and combining it with the genuine stealth mechanics of the earlier series. It’s right up there with Chaos Theory in terms of gameplay. But story and characters are the worst in the series.

Totally agree. Alot of people really hated on this game because of voice actor Eric Johnson for Sam, and while he's definitely not as good as Michael Ironside, he still gets the job done. Gameplay wise it's the best in the series IMO

I started playing splinter cell when conviction came out and I have to say thats my favourite one out of the ones I've played (Conviction,Chaos Theory, Blacklist, Double Agent) but maybe thats just me

+Brutal Jones Chaos Theory will forever hold a special place in my heart. to me it's just one of those classics that will forever be, and when the demo first came out (got it in a magazine demo disc) it blew me away. Graphically and gameplay wise it was top notch. Then their was the spies vs mercs mp and I was obsessed with grabbing people, talking shit in their ear, and then snapping their necks lol.

You can practically do the same thing in Assassin's Creed, MGS and Dishonored. Their's a lot variation, it's just that they don't tell you the more complex move sets.

Absolutely loved playing this game full stealth back in the day on XB360. I could feel how by the game getting more difficult, I became more lethal to come by. Only the dogs were a huge pain in the ass; one dog was harder to avoid than ten guards. And there were a few gameplay sequences were an alarm was automatically triggered, which I always dislike in stealth-games. Apart from that - definetely one of the best games of the series combining the strengths of Conviction and the original Splinter Cells.
