Had a S.B. Stage 2 Endurance on my MK4 GTI. South Bend cut me a 20 Lb Billet flywheel to go with it as well. The disc was sintered Iron on the flywheel side and organic on the other. Even though I loved the setup, it did not last very long. After 50K miles it began to slip. Car was not raced and the tune was APR Stage 1 at the time.

I don’t know if you have one already but a fluidampr is a huge benefit for chatter/gear lash and also generally peace of mind. I have one on my MK7 with a SB stage 2 daily clutch kit.

Thanks for sharing that! I've seen the Fluidamp at DAP. Oddly enough, I haven't seen any videos where the sellers or other "big channels" have installed them on their own cars. So, the idea has been out of my mind, especially for $500. Maybe I'll add one to my next engine. ;-) Thanks for visiting!

@@StealthGTI Jake with Baun Performance I believe has one on his GTI. I believe he did your exhaust system. I also follow him as well since you both provide great content, you were one of the reasons why I am running APR software on my GTI.

I'm at stock power so you would recommend your old clutch? I like that you explained let the shop buy and they warranty replacement.

I would, very definitely! The engagement point is lower and slightly stiffer than stock. Regardless, the RSR clutch is more than you'll ever need on a stock application. BTW, your question here has me wondering if you've seen my long-term review of the RSR clutch. I released it right before this one. Have a look. Thanks for visiting!

I'm very happy I found your video. I live in Virginia and was looking for a shop to get a clutch for my 2021 GTI SE. My stock clutch just started to slip. I'm IE stage 2 low torque at the moment. About how much did you spend out the door?

I don't recall. I think it was around $2800. Yes, that A LOT. But the kit includes the clutch, flywheel, throw-out bearing, and the rear main seal... and the labor. It's an expensive job that I hope is the last time that I need done. Thanks for visiting!

I have since had my clutch replaced by Euro Pros. The shop is about 1.5 hrs away from me, but it was well worth the drive. David was awesome to work with and his tech even left me a couple cool stickers after the job was done. I ended up getting the South Bend Stage 2 Endurance clutch. Thank you for your informative video about the clutch. It really helped me in my decision. The only thing left now is the break in.@@StealthGTI

How many miles u got on that clutch now how has it been I have heard of some people getting crank walk from this clutch

It's relatively new, maybe 20,000 miles. I have a hint of an issue that I cannot quite pinpoint. I'll be sure to share if it becomes substantial. Thanks for visiting!
