advice for anyone struggling with getting the bios to be verified: make sure ur in the right directory, there's multiple paths that are emulation/bio, make sure u do the one in primary great video other than that pitfall i fell into, clear and concise and straight to the point, really appreciated it!

If LOD doesn't load through the m3u file properly, are you able to just play disc 1 until you're finished and then load disc 2 through the other file and it'll work ? I don't care about having the 4 different images as long as the next disc loads up when it needs to . Thanks for any answer.

Im trying to play Silent Hill. Im having some issues. I wish i could find a place where people talk about these things because i feel like it could just be a simple fix. I download Silent Hill comes in cue and bin file i drop them into PSX file, Steam Rom picks it up everything looks good. When i go back to game mode to run it, it shows like a quick flash of duck station settings like the game wants to boot up and then just a black screen. I wait and wait nothing happens. I go back to your video and compress cue and bin to CHD make sure everything works and load it up again. nothing. black screen. what do i do?

Hi! Not sure if you reply to old videos but its worth a shot... I got some roms but they came divided in two parts, bin and cue. Should i move both of those files or only bios? Also, for some reason its nor reading my bios, will try later to see if I'm on the right folder, but could be those files named the game's names be the issue? Thank you!

I'm able to play Raiden Project just fine, but for some reason when I load up R-Types my controller(s) don't work at all, I can't press anything, and if I get to the main menu it says to insert a proper controller. Neither buttons on the Deck's built-in controls nor on my external controller seem to work. Is there something weird with this particular game?

sounds like game specific problem. maybe to to manage emulator and reset the emulator's configuration.

@@ED4T Apparently the problem was the controller being in analog mode. It has to be digital for this game to work. I made a new controller profile in duckstation settings where the controllers are digital and then set that as the profile just for R-Types and now it works when I boot into it.

So i transferred my roms from my pc over and for ps1 theyre all split into .bin and .cue files. They show up in the emulator but they appear multiple times and neither file will launch. What do?

you can use the EmuDeck build-in Emudeck compressor to convert all your cue & bin files into chd format. one cue & one bin will be converted into a single chd format by the emudeck compressor.

I tried the method to combine 2 discs together and while it appears in my steam deck game view.. it tries to load and then ends up back at the screen to launch it again. Any ideas where it went wrong ? Thanks. EDIT: nevermind, the game is missing the SBI file. This apparently only effects PAL versions of the game so ill download the USA version and try again :)

the iso file you have is not the correct PS1 DuckStation supported. I suggest you to use bin/cue or CHD format.
