@@serhii_himself_98 very true but a couple differences. It wasnt an actual remaster of the game rly. However it was a huge improvement bringing dx12 features over. Also it wasnt a totally separate game all together like this is with Horizon. So 10 bucls for a remaster cooy isnt to bad and i think they stopped selling the original but haven’t checked.

I think a good comparison would have been to bump up the visual quality on the original to the point where it got similar FPS as the remastered, and do a side-by-side on that. Also, did the remaster solve/fix the stutter that happened whenever you cross the (invisible) border into another sub-area?

The remaster didn't fix the load in stutter between areas really. As far as the comparison yea there are always a lot of choices to make on what I wanna show. The issue is even at Medium that I showed in the video it becomes unplayable on the deck in many places and you can see in one part of this comparison where medium almost matched the fps of the remaster. so for a video talking if the upgrade was worth it I really didn't need to go further. If i was going for a more visual comparison vs a should u get this comparison I would have went further.

In my opinion even Horizon Zero Dawn on PS4 looks that GOOD it didin't deserved a Remaster, but looks REALLY GOOD on Steam Deck OLED and I don't need to have it on PS5 because I have it on PS4, but I REALLY NEED to get Horizon Forbidden West for PS5 or PC, but defienitily for PS5!

Can I use the same save for both versions? I would like to replay the game again (New game+) since I already finished before, but I prefer playing the original on the steam deck, while I wish I could play the remastered version on my PC. Is that doable?

I mentioned this in the vid briefly. Unfortunately the saves are separate and dont work together. Two separate games unfortunately

sí puedes importar las partidas viejas, lo he bajado de "elamigos" y si instalas antes el original y cargas partida, cuando entras a remastered, aparece importar partida, lo que no sé es al revés, yo quiero saber si tengo la versión original en steam, si actualizo, ¿pierdo la original o conservo ambas versiones?

that REALLY sucks that saves don't sync between the two. I was considering getting the remaster and replacing but I like being able to switch between my desktop and steam deck at will and I'd much rather play the old version on deck

You will have both. Its called an upgrade but its two separate games. You dont lose access to rhe old one. At least so far lol

What about the OG stuttering? Does it remains in the remastered version?

Theres definitely areas where cpu is the issue and you get stutter in the remaster. That said it does tend to be a good bit less especially away from crowded areas. Low performance and fps but in general not a stutter mess.

I can see the graphical improvements in the remaster, but it doesn't matter. The original plays just fine. I've beaten it. This game is such a cash grab.

good visual difference, old game not on;y looks better, it also runs better, the new one only pulls away at higher settings...which need way more power than steam deck can muster. Same with mpst new games, they look awful at low setting and run poorly, while older games look an play better, just without extra bells and whistles

this is one of those games that are like yeah i can play it but why the hell would i want to, it looks so damn bad and blurry either way on the deck. good thing i have a desktop pc to play this on instead

HZD Remaster is really not that impressive. The water is better, a bit higher textures and a little bit of more foliage here and there. Its worth the $10 upgrade but NOT the $50 they want for it.
