I'm confused. The Interview asks if you'd kill your mother in self defense. Keyword "Self Defense". That means she's coming at you with intent to harm or kill, and as far as I know, that's justifiable homicide. Why this one incident makes a man a serial killer, which is defined as a person who kills multiple times, has an MO, and has cooldown periods between killings, I don't know.

Actually the original Wolfenstein 3D on DOS didn't have different ammo types. Later versions with new weapons (I believe the Mac and maybe the SNES) did, though. And that doesn't save The Slaughtering Grounds from shitheap territory.

One of Jim Sterling's recent videos said some people are trying to take entire pre-made and pre-purchased tutorials for Unity or Unreal and post them as finished games on Steam; one of them- a game called Uncrowded- succeeded. It's a Unity tutorial canned UnitZ that was completely unaltered and it's being sold as a finished game by someone who bought it.

17:08 Wolfenstein 3D had universal ammo. All weapons used the same type of ammo, but the better weapons ate it up much faster.

I would have to highly disagree with you on mountain. There is a huge concept behind it, and its not meant to be a traditional game like you are thinking. There is a LOT of secret stuff to do with it as well. I just felt like saying that you didnt quite understand why that game exists. It really doesn't fit into the mold you are looking at here. I didn't like mountain that much but it really isn't what you think it is. Edit: that being said of course steam is in severe need of quality control. They expect the customers to do so with their wallets but thats not enough.

I disagree to some extent. I think the problem here is false advertising which the platform enables because hey... making money from a shitty game is just as good from a great game. Ultimately I think consumers need more discretion. We need to look beyond shiny marketing materials.

Games like these are the exact reason I stick to mostly older games and the occasional new game whenever a family member buys them. The PC indie game scene started out as something pretty cool but now it's become people shitting out games to make a quick buck. When the shitty freeware games that populated AOL discs have better quality than you, you have failed. There's the occasional diamond in the rough though, like the Ys series by Nihon Falcom (which in Japan is indie as Falcom themselves publish it, though Xseed Games does it in the US), which is an awesome (with Ys I & II being less awesome but still pretty good) series of Action RPGs that's undoubtedly worth checking out. It also runs on almost any PC now because of how low spec it is, not to mention it has great music (the tracks Scarlet Tempest and Water Prison come to mind)

***** That's implying it has quality control. Air Control was only removed a few months after it came out and a ton of controversy. There are still many games on Steam that are absolutely broken and some that shouldn't be on the store. This is partly why I prefer platforms like GOG.com, because, you know, they rarely ever put bad games on it.

Ranking the games shown here from best to worst; (not that any of them are good) Spermination: Honestly the more interesting games in concept. Despite the uncanny valley baby model at the end, it has decent N64 era graphics. If it were more refined and had more weapons, I kinda would like it. But probably the main reason I say it's the better game is because it got a really funny reaction out of you. The Interview: I kinda enjoy psychological horror and surreal level design, but that's the only thing that puts it on the low end of this list. What happened to Cursor Lock? Might as well play True Fear at that point. Mountain: "Patience"? Heh, just the thing this game likes to test. Even a serene atmosphere can't hold my attention that long. This seems like a Net Yaroze model demo. The Slaughtering Grounds: Wow, I didn't expect Digital Homicide to not be the worst thing in a video. It's trying to be Killing Floor, I beleive; Slaughering Grounds is a very similar title, even. But damn is it bad. I spent less than ten dollars each for the Metro games on sale! And DigiHom charges more than that for less content. Yeah, no. Go play Metro. Grass Simulator: When people say they'd rather watch grass grow, they normally don't need to pay ten bucks to do it! What's worse is that Snowfall borderline plagiarizes Skyrim.

Okay, i''l say this about the games. Mountain, Shit idea, shit game. Who would waist their time with that? The Interview. Good concept, looks really poorly executed. Wish a real studio would attempt that idea. Grass Simulator About what I expected. If it was only like a dollar I would buy it as a joke to play on my friends. But 10 dollars? Fuck that. Spermination . Like The Interview that looks like a good concept, a funny one at that. I could see that as a 2d type shooter like life force. But once again, a real studio should have done it, not whoever the fuck did make it. The Slautering Grounds. Looks like if Air Control was a first person military Shooter. All in all i don't know how you can stand to play some of this shit man. I really feel for ya.

Mrcool210 I am hard-pressed to disagree with any of your assessments. I have no idea how some of this shit gets on Steam. Well these weren't too bad to play through considering I've recently done Carmageddon. Mountain, The Interview, and Grass Simulator took a grand total of about an hour to play, Spermination maybe half an hour to beat, and Slaughtering Grounds I had to keep running away to jot down more shit to complain about but otherwise was fairly easy to play through (especially once I figured out just how little the game cares about your actual input to it). Plus games this bad are super easy to write for to me.

I think Mountain is supposed to be in the same vein as something like Journey, Bound, and Abzu. Low impact relaxation games about calmly exploring a pretty environment. Problem is they didn't have the budget for stuff like "environments" or "pretty graphics" or "soothing orchestral soundtracks".

I have beef assist pc gaming too, consoles are SO much more convenient in comparison. The only gaming i do on my computer is on Vizzed or Online-Console because i have little money. Check them out they have TONS of games and you don't need to download anything so no harm done 2 your computer.

Aqua Lizard Very doubtful; I've really only played a few systems. I could always talk about the Wii; how as the system went on fewer and fewer games made use of the motion controls, Nintendo took the hint, and they designed the Wii U and its controller so that it can be played like one of the other standard consoles with minimal difficulty in porting.

shnick1990 From what I've seen, people only say that because PCs have better performance and, if you play your cards right, better performance at the same price as a console, though few of the those PC Master Race people realize that PCs and consoles are even because they win in different respects and this is coming from a guy who plays mostly on PC.

***** Exactly. On PC, you can get things such as better performance, mods, and in some cases exclusive features (like GTA IV's video editor). However, the catch is that you'd need a PC that has a proper optimization for nearly every game (There are a few games I've played on both my desktop and laptop that wouldn't work properly on one of them but fine on the other, despite the two being almost equal in specs), and because of this, PC games are prone to bugs and glitches a lot more than what consoles get. On consoles, you don't get the features the PC may have, but at the same time you don't have to worry about a game not working properly. There might be some other ups and downs I'm missing, but the bottom line is that there isn't an inferior side to choose.

This is why I stick to Nintendo. Are they a perfect company? No. No professional gaming company is perfect not even Nintendo. Nintendo however as well as other professional gaming developers have a little something we call oh I don't know FREAKING QUALITY CONTROL! This is something that Steam apparently lacks because if they did have quality control they wouldn't let games like this get out the door in the state that they are in. Why does stuff like this exist? Yes stare at a mountain. A game where all you do is stare at a mountain and that's the game and to add insult to injury unless you somehow pirated it YOU PAID MONEY FOR THE GAME! Selling games that are this terrible to the point where you can't even consider them "games" as shoddy incomplete betas should be considered a freaking crime. Now don't get me wrong. Some games on Steam can be decent but that does not change the fact that Steam needs quality control to ensure that the games function as games so we don't get crap like this.

warioland523 Shortly after I published this collection of reviews Steam implemented a policy where any player can demand a refund for any Steam game- as long as they have owned it for less than two weeks and played it less than two hours. Let's all just agree it's because of me. ;) There are several games on Steam that don't even run. There's a game called Silicone 2 (or Silicon 2- I forget) where you can use a cheat code to unlock all of the levels and there are only a few levels in the entire game that DON'T crash the instant you try to load them- regardless of what kind of PC you're running. Hell, I bought Surgeon Simulator and it won't run on my PC.

It’s not difficult to get a game on PlayStation Xbox may have more people checking for shovelware or trash games selling just for an easy platinum trophy.
