Awesome difference in handling with both bars on. Bought the rear bar first, and made a huge difference in handling. Car did feel a little out of balance though (lot of rear stiffness, front felt mushy), so bought the front bar a week later. Now it handles extremely well for a non-pp stock height/shock vehicle. Both bars set on full soft currently. Can’t wait to play with the bar holes next once weather gets better and summer tires go back on (20gt/10r).

What do you mean by stiffness?..what does a mushy front end feel like. You guys gotta understand you're selling your product to people who DON'T KNOW ROAD RACING VERNACULAR.

I have a Boss 302 2012 and upgraded my OEM springs to the steeda springs. Great improvement. Dropped the car less than an inch and didn't compromise the ride quality at all. These may be my next purchase along with the 555-4422 rear control arms. Great vid thanks for sharing!

Thank you for this video! Very helpful! I’m looking to do many Steeda suspension upgrades to my daily driven 2017 Performance Package GT and want as much information as I can have to do it in a way that improves the fun factor without sacrificing ride quality!

Thank you good video, I have a 2020 pp2 with the dual rate coil spring, the sway bar is really worth it, I do 4-5 days of laping per summer.

Thanks for this great video guys. Very well edited, presented, and explained. I saved this as a future reference, and to share with my HPDE track newbies. The F/R bars are now on my shopping list to help tune the understeer and oversteer for track days, autocross days, and street driving. Im also considering the dual-rate springs and IRS kit. I stiffened up the rear subframe bushings on my previous BMW E82 135i track car and it completely removed the vagueness of the rear end. After a three year hiatus, I will be getting a pre-owned 2022 Mach1 Handling Package delivered in about a month (April 2024). I will likely keep it stock for a few track days,, and dial it in as required later. Are the Steeda adjustable bars still relevant on the M1 HP? How about the dual-rate springs and IRK kit?
@steedaautosports
@steedaautosports 10 ай бұрын
Yes, the sway bars are definitely still relevant on the HP! If you're considering dual rates, check out our video on our Competition Rear Sway Bar, a softer rate specifically designed to be paired with the stiffer secondary rate of the dual rates. We recommend the Starter IRS kit for every S550 owner looking to get the rear subframe in check. If you know you're tracking the car start there and then look towards our vertical links & toe links. Last, the handling pack comes with adjustable front camber plates, but if you need more adjustment, our camber plates can get you up to -3.3 degrees.

Steeda is awesome. Their products, especially their sway bars & customer service is top notch. Much better than Whiteline Performance, which I would never recommend.

Is there an equivalent steeda package of the Ford performance track handling pack ?
@steedaautosports
@steedaautosports 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Currently the only package we offer on the Mach 1 is the full conversion, but we do have our Q500 which is done on the GT. We do offer different suspension kits that would bring the handling up to par though.

What’s a good starting point?
@overweight_miata
@overweight_miata 2 жыл бұрын
Start at the softest setting that way it can give a benchmark. However I’d recommend really drive it hard stock to see what you what you like and what you don’t like about the handling. For example, I do a lot of “touge” stuff so the soft suspension on my pp1 mustang helps with the bumpiness but I didn’t like how comfortable it is(seats, clutch spring feel, brake lines, bouncy irs) so I’m tackling that first

For all S550s, we recommend you start with the second to softest hole in the front and full soft in the rear. Then, adjust from there to your driving style. Hope this helps! -Chris

do sway bars help for takeoff in a straight line
@steedaautosports
@steedaautosports 2 жыл бұрын
Not really, but it certainly doesn't hurt. We offer a drag rear sway bar to add additional rigidity in the rear to ensure these IRS cars launch straight. Hope this helps! -Chris www.steeda.com/steeda-mustang-drag-race-rear-sway-bar-2015-2016-gt-ecoboost-v6-555-1018.html

Hi Chris, I have a 19 PP1 and I have all your suspension components. Progressive springs, your proactive struts front and rear, all your bracing and IRS bushings. Only thing left to do is your sway bars. But I do have a question for handling and there is 60 in quarter mile performance. Could I do adjustable sway bar for the fronts and do the drag sway bar for the back? With my current setup? I still want to be able to perform well in a straight line. Also, do you know if you're pompano Beach location has these in stock since I'm only about 25 minutes away.

What stiffness do you recommend to go with the steeda progressive springs I have a 22 gt non performance pack
@steedaautosports

Start at the middle hole. Then it's purely based on your driving preference. If you're going to do some performance driving, stiffen it up a bit. If you're going for a Sunday cruise, soften it up. Hope this helps!

Hey ya'll. I just bought the STEEDA S550 Mustang Magneride Sport lowering springs & Ultralight G track brace. My plan would be to at some point get the "Ultimate" stop the hop kit. Would it be a good idea to purchase this product, along with the endlinks as well? What setting would you recommend for a GT PP1 and the above suspension mods? Thanks
@steedaautosports
@steedaautosports Жыл бұрын
Hi there - Yes, the sway bars are a great next mod to pair with those lowering springs. Endlinks aren't 100% necessary before the Ultimate Stop The Hop Kit. I would pickup the endlinks a bit further down your mod list if you intend to do more track driving. Hope this helps! -Chris

@@steedaautosports Would it be best to start with just the front sway bar on a Pp1 and then move go the second sway once I start tracking more regularly? The thought would be to change at some point to the magneride dual rate springs once I get more comfortable with the car.

Question: Do they work on the Gt350? Or are the sway OEM bars good? If I was to upgrade front or back which is best to start with? Thanks!
@steedaautosports
@steedaautosports 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, they’re great on a GT350! For that car, I’d start with the front on the second softest hole. Check out our other video installing sway bars on a GT350. If you want more, then jump to the rear. We also highly recommend our Dual Rate Springs (555-8243) for your car as well! Hope this helps! -Chris

With the softest settings on front and back, would that be "better" than the stock base setup? Would it add over or understeer on the softest settings compared to the stock sway bars? I just like my spirited drives around the city or interstate from time to time.

If you have a MagneRide car and you’re running the Dual Rate Springs, yes, softest in the rear and second softest in the front is optimal. Have fun! -Chris

It's all fun and games until you're rear sway comes out of spec 🙄. Stop washers at too short and the angle in the final bend is out enough to drag the lhs endlink into the springs.... Also clearer instructions for setting up endlink lengths would be fantastic
