@@hugh2hoob668 completely false. Most coasters like it have large hills that give you floater airtime, Phantom has small hills that give ejector airtime. And that airtime hasn’t became common until the last few years.

Phantom's Revenge is impressive and a hell of a lot of fun but I still prefer the original Steel Phantom. This isn't the first time they've deconstructed an intense ride to make it more palatable for other, less adventurous coaster riders. Give me inversions!! 4 of them!!

They are, Morgan didn't even replace the track on the drop when they first remodeled the coaster in 2001 so part of it was still Arrow. In 2014 I believe the drop track was replaced with Morgan track but the chain lift, station, switch tracks, and I'm assuming the brakes are still Arrow. You can tell them a part by looking at them, even though they're almost identical. If you look at certain POVs here on KZbin, you can see at the top of the lift hill where the Arrow and Morgan track were welded together.

I have a soft spot for classic arrow loopers, but based on my experience with them, SP was probably a head blender. Ridden PR more than any coaster I’ve ridden and I’m glad we have it. Only Arrow I’ve ridden that I want gone is Anaconda at KD, really upset when Vortex at KI was removed. These larger loopers are slowly going extinct.

During the 2000-2001 off-season Morgan was brought in to make some modifications: The original 4 loops were removed. The height remained the same as the lift hill was unchanged. The drop increased from 225' to 228' feet. The length was increased from 3000' to 3200'. The original ride time was 2:15. The trains were modified removing the over the shoulder restraints.

both coasters are exciting, but the original was definitely more intense. When I first road the revenge I thought it sucked cause it was missing that intensity. But each year I ride the revenge the more I appreciate the redesign. You shouldn't have to be on an exciting ride but have a headache for an hour after. And even though the bunny hills aren't as intense as the loops the ride overall is still a blast. The original was good to experience once, but your head and neck will thank you riding the revenge.

This ride just wasn't well designed it was way too fast with way too many G's for the track especially considering the vest restraints. Also the fact Arrow refused to adjust the element size meant you had a coaster going into the inversions way too fast. Just watching the off-ride looks painful, the second half of that boomerang is just ridiculous.
