I grew up with these OU teams in the 90s, the idea that they were ever even respectable, much less a power, was so alien to me. That 7-5 99 season blew my mind. lol

It's 45-0 in the 4th quarter, and Osborne still had Frost in there chucking the ball down the field to make it 52-0. I've been a Big Red fan since the '70s, but that's just plain running up the score.

@keithcarter412 A bit late on the reply here, but I thought Gibbs did a reasonably good job of cleaning up the off-the-field messes he inherited. I thought they were decent to good under him, much as Nebraska was under Solich. Of course, neither won enough to meet fan expectations, so both were shown the door. Still, it wasn't until the Blake era that I counted the Sooners as a guaranteed win. RIP, but John Blake had no business being a head coach.

I remember listening to this game on the radio in which OU defense played inspired football in the 1st half but in the 2nd half it was ugly

The refs sucked in this game bad.. Nebraska good team and would have won anyway but geeze so many blown calls by these refs... Had to stop watching game sorry... 😂🎉😂
