I'm insanely biased but I've been against Canada since year 1. He runs an extremely predictable and simple offense. There is footage last year of the Bengals literally calling out the play the steelers are about to do before they do it because how few looks we are giving. I'd love an offensive guru but at this point I'd settle for someone who is just competent because we have amazing pieces but Canada is playing them like a toddler at chess.

I disagree. Fans just look at stats. 15-17 points a game since he’s started. He started with Ben in his last season and they are in year 3. Same results. This defense is awesome, however you can’t win more than 8-9 games when your offense averages 15-17 points.

Joe Walton was a fool. I played v him in the high school playoffs. He was the HC for slippery rock HS. He loved to throw into the middle of the field. So we crowded the middle, dropped 7 and literally GAVE him the flats and running game..all night. He had the highest scoring offense in the state up to that night. His QB threw 4 picks…and we held them to zero offense TDs on the way to a 17-7 win. Walton never changed his game plan.. yet he got an nfl OC job is baffling when he could not even score v one of the best HS secondaries in the state statistically .

The thing is, it’s not just 2 games. It’s been like this since Ben. Ben hated him, and there were times you can tell when Ben took over the offense late in games they go right down the field. And you can look up we’re all the passes have been since Canada and you can see it’s the same for all the QBs since he’s been there. All I know is he needs gone.

I know he didn't even play half the game because of injury, but if he wasn't injured, I think the Steeler's have a hard time making a case to keep him on the roster any longer. He’s missed 79% of open throws, he isn’t reading coverage well, he throws more interceptions than completions….. He’s very difficult to play with. Pickens is a top 2 receiver in the NFL and he just can’t get him the ball, Najee can’t run, the offense starts with you and you reading the D! He’s clearly not been that guy and if you say anything otherwise the numbers will tell you, you’re a liar. The oline really isn’t bad (maybe in run blocking it could be argued;) but we have enough to be great and by coaching AND personnel, we’re not a good team right this minute…. Can we grow? Yes. But I think Tomlin/Canada/ and ultimately Kenny and Najee will be leaving unless significant growth happens in any area. The talent is there so…..

I think there is a lot of blame to go around, but even when Canada does get it right (promise it does happen;) the supporting cast gets it wrong…. Ultimately it is the coaches job, but I think we have deeper issues and Kenny and Najee (and our coverage defense;) aren’t going to get better with a different coach! These players need to be reevaluated because warren and Mitch with this supporting cast would be way better in my dumb opinion 🙏

in no world do any of you read this, but the problem with canada is he doesn't allow the opportunity for kenny to be close to elite, Kenny only does half field reads and defenses easily read which side of the field he's looking at. Just a film thing i watched but i feel like kenny should at least have some plays making full field reads available.

To be fair, more than half of Najee’s touches were HB dives while Warren’s were screen passes or drop offs. Warren didn’t exactly have a great game between the tackles either. Give Najee those rec opportunities and he’d do something similar

yes and no... Warren is still quicker and more decisive regardless of how they're using him. Najee had back to back runs of 21 and 17 yards... and only 5 yards on his other 8 carries. Warren had 20 yards on 8 rushes... not great by any means but more consistently going forward. As for down and distance--the Steelers were never in short yardage situations except for the 2 point conversion... most rushing attempts for both backs were on 1st and 10 or second and long.

The thing is when kenny is in the 2 minute drill or calling plays himself he loooks electeifying. When hes ruñing Canada's play calling it seems bad. Maybe its just too early in the season to say its Canada. Idk. They look predictable though on runs.

Heres a fact... Targets to TEs: 1. Pat Freiermuth 1 catch 2 yards. Other TEs including a guy who is 6:7" 265 - 0 targets. Steelers 3rd down efficiency rating 29th in the league after 2 games at 31%. Offense average time of possession 31st at 23:34. Hows the defense going to last playing 2/3s of the game?

In his second, they jumped up to nearly 24 PPG and by his 3rd year they were 2nd in total offense and scoring nearly 27 PPG. Ben, AB and Bell in their primes didn't hurt...

2 be fair Kenny isn’t making plays either. It’s difficult when the QB doesn’t hit on good plays, or Najee can’t make anyone miss, or a receiver drops the ball. It’s a popcorn issue but ultimately everything comes down to coaching. Go Steelers

Canada's 3rd season. He has been OC for 36 regular season games us 1 playoff. (37 total games) The steelers have scored 30 or more points just twice. They have scored 25+ points just 8 times. They have scored under 20 points 19 times. They are 19-16-1 during his tenure. How many more games do they need for them to say "This isn't working". Considering what the offense has become, they should change their name to the Pittsburgh Dink n Dunks!
