Terry Fearnely " Ian Russell came out of the blue tremendous player with natural skills" As a murri kid growing up Qld, use to watch the ABC T.V broadcast on a Sunday (Johnny Peard & Warren Boland, if I recall). Loved the Steelers and loved Ian Russell, when your Indigenous yourself you barrack for your Indigenous players inparticular the special ones who could special things with their natural abilities. I noted Ian did come my way and was an Inaugural Nth Qld Cowboy, and things may not have turned out but I'am not going knock, the brother about that, the Steelers, and Ian Russell I will remain a great fan always. I just finished reading an article the Ian Russell has a young son Tate Russell with the Western Sydney Wanders in the A-Leauge and has represented Australia in U-20 & U-23, Ian (dad) must be very proud!
