Steelfest 2023 recap [opinion]

One of the best fests I’ve ever been to personally, especially as an American - I caught over 30 bands, none of which I’d seen before. Shame we couldn’t find time for beers, but I’ll hopefully be back in a future year

Was a great fest, really enjoyed it, was my second time in a row, btw was on a train to fest with you 😂 you said i looked familiar 😂 the only issue or maybe a down side was the price of beer on the fest, everything besides that was absolutely great. Long live Steelfest 🤘

I would have liked to see the bands that were replaced, but the replacements were cool. I do not know if Satanic Warmaster has ever been to Italy, but it was my first time. Very cool. There were lots of band I never saw live or heard of, like Pensees Nocturnes. They were lots of fun. Also, making friends is very cool. I always meet cool people from around the world.

Yeah. A lot of bands me too have never heard, only the name. Pensees Nocturnes I have reviewed 3 times though

Nordjevel really blew me away!! They were my favorite performance of the entire fest. And overall Steelfest was the best metal festival I've ever attended. So well organized compared to the American festivals I grew up going to. I'll definitely be back

Great feedback, I share your point, to me Steelfest was also the opportunity to meet some finish friends I met online etc. It was also so good to rest on the grass behind the sun ahah. For my first Steelfest, I am quite impressed. I am from France so I really enjoyed seeing Horna (they are always cancelled), Gaurithoth was great also, I loved Total self hatred too, True Black Dawn, so many bands I could never see otherwise. Of course Carpathian was really awesome, my only regret was I had to leave Behexen in advance to be just in front Carpathian's stage. I will definetly come back next year !!

This year was great,didn't catch Covid & woke up in my own bed in the morning, steelcaps still in both feet.. Beats waking up at a Hyvinkää railway stations Elevator.

I loved it, I managed to catch all bands and had an incredible time! Met so many cool people too! My only complaint, the sound was quite poor on the outside stage for several bands I hope to come again

Glad you enjoyed it! Sometimes the sound on either of the stages was somewhat bad. But it varied from a band to band.

You should invest to new mic, or bring it closer to you. Voice audio is really quiet.

The mic is good, but probably the intro is just too loud compared to the voice.

@@RautaMetal I had to turn my sennheiser earphones almost max volume to hear it properly. But it might be the tone of your voice ofc. Eli Tomi, yksi kuuleva korva ja kuulonalenema puheäänen taajuudella ;)
