I’ve got the prime wireless. Came from gpw and viper ultimate. And this is by far my favorite mouse. Super comfortable and literally feels like it was made for my hand. The clicks are so damn crispy and amazing. The side buttons don’t give me any issue. My scroll wheel sounds and feel good. The viper ultimate is a horrible scroll wheel. Definitely glad I got the mouse.

I'd agree with you about the shitty cable they gave us. About everything else I think I'd give Steelseries some backup. I'm using the $60 one and the shape is like an upgraded EC2 shape which I really like, easily my fav ergo shape I've ever tried (including EC2, Rival 310, Rival 650 and G403). The skates are fine by me, but I'd like some pure PTFE skates like the wireless one. The clicks are great, maybe the best optical clicks out there tho I'd prefer some TTC Gold. The side buttons are also not an issue to me. Overall a great mouse. Then again, the defective OLED screen on yours is unacceptable and I think you should RMA.

I can agree with you. If you replace the stock feet and if SteelSeries gets rid of that cable and fix the scroll wheel sound, it would be my favourite mouse over the Razer Viper. As for the OLED, the cable might be broken. They use these flex, paper thin cables, which can easily broke. My only fear about the mouse was that the optical switches they use are not replaceable. After I tore it apart, I realised, that the only thing that can broke here are the optical IR LEDs. Overall great mouse.

To make things clear: The build quality on your version is garbage as fuck. My prime+ has no loose scrollwheel and has a display that works just fine. I agree that the cable is kinda trash, but the clicks is something that u get used to over time. I've been playing with my prime+ for a week now and I don't really want to move back to my EC2, since I like the Prime shape more.

I've gotten used to the smaller side buttons, and it stayed with me. I do have the Wireless version, and no weird issues with the scroll wheel. I actually prefer it over the Kone Air Pro. I felt that the Roccat mouse was too wide in the base, too restrictive for my hybrid grip. I made me feel slow.

My Prime+ scrollwheel sounds entirely different. It's pretty quiet on mine. You've got a defective one. My OLED panel works fine too. Also saying that the Kone clicks are better than the Prime clicks is a little misleading. I've clicked both. The Kone ones feel dull, but the Prime ones are super cripsy and clicky. Not sure how you drew that conclusion, unless you have a personal preference towards duller switches.

Oddly enough I like the Prime Wireless more than the GPW, GPX, Viper Ultimate and ever so slightly more than the Kone Pro Air. I don’t know what It is but I’ve been performing my best with it. And I did give the normal Prime a try to test its shape and well that’s what made me go for the Wireless. Although I feel like it’s a tad overpriced. I mean, come on. The Aerox 3 Wireless is $99? What makes it worth $130 for the same sensor? The shape? Added weight? Something?

I'm very glad that you made a comparison to the zowie mice because i've been using those. i've also been hearing stories that in terms of ergonomics for people who like to palm grip, the rival 5 has a better shape and is more comfortable than the prime. it also seems that on their website, steelseries says that the prime is for all grip styles, but they recommend it more for claw and fingertip gripstyles. also, that groove you mentioned does seem to angle down very sharply. it looks like it could be uncomfortable for palm grippers with large hands. please do correct me if I'm wrong though.

I swear people are getting paid to say bad things about Steelseries at this point. Every product they have is decent at worst. The QCK is the best big box pad you can buy. The build quality of the Prime poops on its competitors. It's a hybrid shaped so you can't really compare it to anything. The wireless version is even better. At 80 grams and its size and solidity, you can't even complain. Its all consumerist marketing BS. If you are looking for a fantastic evolution of the intellimouse shape, just try the Prime. The other mice he recommended are completely different and can't even be compared. Buy your mouse for shapes, not these silly specs. Your wrist will thank you.

Today I decided to buy myself this mouse (I have not looked at the review before). She's just perfect. I also bought a keyboard, but that's not the point. The mouse is really cool. Before that, I used mice like zowie, xtrfy and something also. And I always didn’t like them. Either the form, the sensor, or the assembly. But I really liked this one. I also had another mouse from the steel's. This is Sensei 310. She was normal for the first 3 months, but then she just got carried away. This one only strains the wire. Who can tell you where you can buy a multi-colored wire for this mouse?

I have the Steelseries Prime Wireless and I don't have any major problems with it, but then again it is a different mouse, there's no screen, the feet are fine, the scroll wheel is fine (doesn't sound like the one on y our copy), I like the shape, and I guess the feel of the clicks comes down to personal preference.

I think you got broken mouse, because mine is working perfectly. Steelseries is using Prestige OM and that was my main reason why i took it. Second reason was that it's super light, small and perfectly fits my hand. Clicks from this mouse are perfect! Crispy click all the time! Im using mine prime+ more than 5 months and no issues! SteelSeries engine is perfect too... Adjusting sound is perfect, for free, and it doesn't have any impact on my pc. Never had any issues with wire, screen or any other thing what you just made in this video. It looks a bit like you want to make anti commercial for SteelSeries. I had a lot of other brands and it always ended this same way (broken left click after 6 months, middle mouse button stuck and clicking itself). Heavyli overpriced tech which was basically unuseable after very short time. SteelSeries Prime+ was such a perfect purchase that i decided to switch my keyboard to SteelSeries apex5 and it was another perfect item to my daily basis. If someone will try to buy this mouse and search for any review, i hope you will find mine and will decide to buy it. It's really worth it!

Nah, they’re just the same PBT aura caps that everything else comes in, they just work better on the Apex Pro… that’s pretty much it🙂 I do have some Saba Keys in some colors tho that I’ll be using soon!

Great mouse to be honest. Should have been a 3370 and less front heavy, with a better scroll wheel. Wouldn't have minded the wireless version being a little less heavy also. Other than that its a solid shape and the clicks are very responsive. The wireless has the best mouse feet I have ever used on a stock mouse.

This mouse shouts out to me like someone put this out to meet sales forcasts. Between the other mouse they made and this one maybe they think they could just make that money. Man, you definitely got a very defective/bad QC’d Prime… which is a shame - I like the Prime Wireless a great deal, it’s a big upgrade for me since I’m coming from a Logitech G9x. I tried the Logitech G Pro Wireless and hated the shape, tried a Aerox 3 Wireless and loved the weight and the shape but lordy the QC was not great, and now I’m on the Prime Wireless; super solid build, I actually love the clicks, the pre/post-travel, no wobbling on the buttons or creaking. The _only_ thing I’d want better is thicker thumb buttons, but oh well. I actually think the Aerox 3 Wireless has/had the best coating ever and I want it on everything. If the rumored higher quality build + the big virgin PTFE mouse feet get added to the Aerox one day soon, I might just have to get it again…

No paracord and no 100% Virgin white PTFE feet is unaceptable at 80$. Looks like this first batch is bad and hit/miss other reviews did not have that scroll wheel rattle or dead OLED screen. Yeah I meant it's the Rival 600 successor but a spiritual one, shape is nothing like it, Rival 5 is closer shape wise but does not have the dual sensors. Dunno SteeSeries is a mess, Rival 600/650 succesor is like split between Prime+, PrimeWireless and Rival 5. Well if QC is so bad on the first batch I'm going for Razer Orochi V2.

I have both prime+ and wireless and I do think the sensor of prime+ is more stable and give me more confidence during intensive gaming sessions. According to my local retailer, the sensor of prime wired=sensai ten, prime+ wired=brand new sensor with indipend lod detector, prime wireless=aerox 3

The product is listed as Out of Stock on their website since at least a month and there is no sign the mouse will ever get back in stock. Its saddening that we often get left out in Canada. The thing that makes me immediately give this mouse a hard pass is the fact that SteelSeries had the audacity to put the OLED screen at the *bottom* of the mouse. I occasionally drop my Rival 3 wireless 3 to 4 inches from my table, in part to the mouse continuing to function when I slightly elevate it. $80 goes into flames the moment I try this with the Prime+. Even without this personal problem SteelSeries needs to hire a new test audience because all of them are avid haters of OLED screens.
