Hey Stefan! Great video! As a private pilot and a person in general I relate to you a lot. I've realized there's nothing wrong with enjoying your own company. I think it's only a problem if you haven't got a support system of friends or family you can turn too when you need. Other than that, I tend to find myself leaning towards being an introvert. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy social interactions, meeting new people or even flying with different pilots, it just means at the end of my day I like to reflect in solitude. I've found a great balance and i enjoy it a lot!

This video was the pep talk I needed this morning. I'm sitting here 1.5hrs out of my CFPA exam, the 2nd last exam in my CPL(A) studies, and the topics of anxiety and self doubt really resonated. It's really important to believe in yourself and trust your gut. Thanks for the super chill therapy session Stef!

Thank you Stef for sharing your thoughts, I watch your videos regularly whenever you upload one. Nice video, Stef. I'm introverted, reserved, and often prefer to be by myself, which possibly explains some of the rationale behind why I love flying, too! Can't wait to see more videos now that restrictions are loosening up here in Australia :-).

I first caught your "nothing goes wrong flight" video and it was surprisingly, clam. It's what I'd imagine flying would be like. So, apparently all your weakness seem to be doing you some good. Possibly also sharing a lot of character traits might also help 🤣 Air Crash Investigations, yes, my wife won't watch it because it makes her scared of flying. I watch it, because I want to understand the lessons that are been learned Happy flights 👍

I'm with you Steph - I'm a bit of a loner and introvert. I love flying and have been a pilot for many years; however, similar to you, my wife is not really interested. As I get older I have more trouble "justifying" the expense for something that is strictly for me. I would prefer to spend my money on something my wife and I can enjoy together. It's a bit of an internal struggle at this time...

Fully agree with your thoughts here Stefan. The freedom we enjoy up there is a total privilege and a joy. Walk the walk and let others talk the talk as often times it is trash. We have many sayings in this industry, one i subscribe to is "never assume always check and double check". Second guessing and debriefing yourself can be a good thing ocassionally. Really enjoying these early morning videos you are doing of late. Take care and looking forward ti coming down sometime soon now your borders are opening again.

Tip: when checking mags (minute 2:20), set the EGT temp bars to NORMALIZE, so that you can quickly check that all Temps should be rising when on the L or R magneto, all Temps should be decreasing when back to both. If one or more do not follow the pattern, discontinue the flight as you may have a bad mag or a bad plug. Saved me once.

I am a classical homeopathic doctor in California and I have been watching your shows for a long time and today you talked about yourself a bit. You appear to be what is called the arsenicum album typology, you can either ask a local homeopath if they think that medicine is proper for you or you can do a zoom with me anytime, but in any case it would be good for you and your anxiety and probably your view of germs vermin and Contagion and how you deal with guilt as this is often an issue for vegans, not always! Enjoy your shows, you are an interesting character. I have flown many planes, beware your engine technology is from 1935 and if you ask yourself why have so many ballistic parachutes been deployed it's because those engines aren't so good, look into getting an airplane with twin rotaxes! Connecting rods are not bolted around the crankshaft, there are no magnetos with 20 moving parts each, water cooling allows for more even contraction and expansion of metals and lower operating temperatures, it's mid-1980s technology 50 years ahead of what you have.
