Thank you so much for uploading this and your previous video Stef. I cannot think of a more wonderful way to spend a Friday night than to watch your adventures. It's also wonderful to see you getting back to normal after your recent health issue. We are truly lucky to have a creator like you in the world making this place slightly better with every video you upload.

Great to see you back in the left seat Stefan. I flew single handed around the southern half of Britain (Blackpool to Humberside) in 2017 in a day for the Pooleys International Dawn to Dusk Competition. My theme was concerned the role of the RNLI in Air Sea Rescue. Just the northern half to go, but perhaps not in one day!! You might like to consider the D to D as a flying project for your excellent channel. You can enter for free. Keep up the great work.

Not only is JoG not the most northerly point, but the NE corner of Scotland is definitely not part of the Highlands. Note the absence of much height anywhere... Caithness is more famous for being flat, and the home of the flow country, the largest areas of bog peatland in Europe. It also stretches into Sutherland (it was south for the Nordlanders, ie, 'Vikings'). While the furthest northeast point is JoG, the furthest NW extreme is Cape Wrath, wrath meaning the turning place in old Norse, ie, the place where you turn south to do a bit of pillaging on the west coast and islands. Just thought you'd like to know (-;)~

Great video again Stef. Your recovery regime of intense flying seems to be going well.. That was typical of Scottish weather! Next time you're up here, consider Dornoch, especially if you're a golfer (2:58) and Plockton airfields and a brief detour to see the Old Man of Hoy and the beach airstrip at Barra...too many, really. I'm looking forward to more of the Rehab Tour 🙂

You’re absolutely right. Plenty of fuel to give us options, and the strip wasn’t very long so unless the approach is stable and aim point is good then going around was a no brainer. Few adjustments and I (finally) got it right!

G,day Stefan from Sydney. Very enjoyable part 2 of your air travel to the furthest Cardinal points of GB. Air plane guff Is the SR 22 power the same as VH - EYZ On the go arounds over the grass did you glance at the altimeter base leg to final? 🛩️🦠
@StefanDrury
@StefanDrury 3 ай бұрын
Thanks John, the aircraft is an SR20, so a slightly different engine to EYZ (SR22) but the fuselage and cockpit are basically the same. And on the go arounds yes I’d glance at the altimeter to level off after the crosswind/downwind turn, but after that it’s mostly all visual.
