After my Nikon D750 unexpectedly failed just before an event, I purchased the Nikon Z6III without much research, relying on the recommendation of the salesman. He assured me I wouldn’t regret it-and they were right. This camera has far exceeded my expectations, even surpassing the D750 in performance. Although my older flash wasn’t compatible with the Z6III, the images taken without flash were still incredibly crisp, sharp, and of exceptional quality. Paired with the 24-120mm f/4 lens, I was genuinely surprised by the outstanding results this camera delivered.

Will it be a worthy upgrade from D7500 ?
@mzosama2 ай бұрын
@vssunilkumar oh yes, the difference is day and night. But d7500 is the DX version, so you may need to buy a z-mount lens or an FX lens with an adapter. It will be a costly switch.

@@mzosama Thanks for your response. Basically I own a Nikon D7500 DSLR Camera Body with Nikon 16-80mm f/2.8-4E AF-S DX NIKKOR ED VR Lens. Nikon is offering some good deals in india with additional battery, Angelbird AV PRO SE 512GB CFexpress Type-B Memory Card and charger with some good discounts. The whole discussion regarding The Nikon Z6 III has a dynamic range of 11.5 stops at base ISO resulting in noise is making me think 🤔 if it's really worth upgrading. Did you notice above in day to day usage. How are images at low and high iso ? I'm planning to purchase Nikon Z6 iii with 24-120 S lens combo. This my first upgrade to a full sensor camera after 2 decades of DX body usage. Appreciate if your feedback.
@mzosama2 ай бұрын
@vssunilkumar Yes, there are concerns related to Dynamic range, and honestly, no camera is 100% fit. If you are shooting in a very low light environment, then you may need a good dynamic range camera to recover the data. With this price point, you get the specs of a high-end camera. I bought this camera because my Nikon d750 broke all of sudden, and it was an urgent purchase. I hardly did any good research at the time of purchase. I shot the whole indoor event without flash (godox flash wasn't supporting z6iii), and oh boy, the quality of images were top notch. I shot the pictures using 24-120mm f4 fx lens, and if I have used d750 without flash, it would not be so good and very dark. Sharp tac pictures. There are only two blur images out of 800 pics. Shot @ 1/100-125 shutter speed with max ISO at 6000. However, at ISO 6000, the noise was noticeable. And I reduced to 2500 ISO, then it was great. Now a days, keeping the ISO not more than 3000 is recommended. I used paid light room for post processing, and in most of the images taken from 24-120mm, I used the Denoise AI feature, which removed all the noise. But shots taken with prime lens (50mm and 85mm), there was no noise at all. I have invested a lot in the Nikon ecosystem. Therefore, it would not be feasible for me to shift to Sony or Canon. But for you, this is the right time to switch. Sony cameras are top-notch. Directly talk with professional photographers and videographers for further advice. Z6iii video is also a game changer because they have used Red series technology in this camera. Best wishes and let me know which one you bought.

Weird question but possibly you can answer: I recently got a Nikon Zf and I'm looking to aquire a second backup body, that's affordable and takes my Z mount lenses. Honestly, I’m leaning towards the Nikon Z5, but with the recent price drops the Z6ii is not much more and is appealing also. Nearly everyone I've spoken to who actually owns a Z6ii (or a Z5 for that matter), LOVES it. I love my Zf, but I want something that will act as a more ergonomic and compact backup, with similar menus. I shoot portraits and headshots and an occasional family session or engagement. No events, sports or wildlife. I don't need speed, and I don’t plan on doing video with this backup. I played with a Z6ii in the camera store recently and it felt really nimble and great to use. In use, I couldn’t really tell much difference between the Z5 and Z6ii. Both really nice. Would you recommend the Z6ii as a backup to my Zf? Or even a Z5? If I get the Z5 I can afford more glass, but maybe the better body is a wiser choice?

I like my Z6ii, but a few months ago bought a Zf and love it. I’ve found the AF improved so much that I don’t miss the joystick too much. My timing was unfortunate, I convinced myself to buy the Z6ii about a week prior to the Zf release. I wish I’d waited to learn more about the Zf because I think a Z6iii and Zf combo is a better match. That’s my long winded way of saying, when you are ready, I think you’ll find the AF enough improved to be pleased with the upgrade decision. And if the ergonomics are ok for you, the Zf might be a lower cost way to upgrade your Z6ii.

The battery basically doesn't drain when using usb-c, however it's never a great idea to do that for a long period of time regardless of the camera: lithium batteries degrade with heat in time, a dummy battery is a way better option!
