Steph was not rude, she had an appointment set for 2 days, that vet was very unprofessional. If they didn't have time they should have told her. And when you have a sick pet or rescue that needs immediate attention and you are paying for a service then you have every right to get upset. Steph was actually nice compared to what I would have done. And with all that vet did, lying and pushing off surgery and causing Ramona's death Steph is still going to have to pay that vet. I would never use that vet again and let others know how they treat people and pets!

ok maybe rude isn't the right word. being she uses that particular vet shows that she's experienced with their service. Unless, they just have a large staff that frequently revolves. I failed to.consider that; maybe her experiences in the past haven't been always good, in dealing with customer service reps answering the phone. I think I assumed what type of experience she had when she said " I go to this vet all the time." Maybe I'm still suffering from people pleasing. I just sensed a little expectation when Steph didn't appear to consider other pets procedures scheduled before Monday (week before) when she came in with her hurt animal. I suffer from always looking for the bad it's trauma that I don't know I will ever defeat.i have to work my way up to that. Whadya think...

@@muthaluva I think you're forgetting some details here. That's not her usual vet. Her usual vet referred her to a different veterinarian who Steff was told was a better specialists with bones. She explains this at 36:26 (Also she shows the name of her usual Vet, with the facebook screenshot, the name is "Beytar Veterinaria" meanwhile the medicine paper from the second vet reads "Unidad Medica Veterinaria Dog center"). That's not the only thing - the person who answered the phone said the appointments they were working on before Ramona's were scheduled yesterday... So after Steff scheduled. (timestamp: 41:31 ). By the way sorry if I worded anything bad. Sometimes I word things bad and I'm not trying to be rude.

I personally don’t feel that you should avoid that vet from this point on. They were not honest. They told you multiple times she was in surgery when she wasn’t. If she was premeditated when he said and then they didn’t operate until when he said he started she was under way too long for a undernourished bird. I think that vet office made a lot of mistakes and overworked themselves.

Not only did they lie they are responsible for scheduling appointments which they failed to do successfully it wasn’t like they were behind they scheduled way more appointments than they could handle that day and if they did medicate the bird way before the surgery they are trained professionals who knew the risks when they did it

There was a vet where I live where they “accidentally” killed a dog with a heat pad while cleaning the dog’s teeth. We used to go to that vet but obviously not anymore. That story was in the paper in my town and it was extremely sad.

I think showing the "failures" and when things go wrong is super necessary. So sorry about Ramona. At least you tried. 😢 I had a moment like that a couple months back. There was this absolutely beautiful fox who'd been hit by a car. I grabbed warm towels and hot water bottles for him, I gave him water and kept talking to him, letting him know he was safe with me. He deemed to really calm down with me near, even nuzzled my hand while I sat with him waiting for the animal ambulance to arrive (it's part of a wildlife charity) They took him off and kept me updated for a day or two about how he was doing. Then I didn't hear from them. I called and they told me they'd get back to me. Day 4, they called. 😢 He'd had a bad turn on night 3 and suddenly couldn't move his lower half. Then he quickly went downhill and they had to put him to sleep to stop him suffering 😢😢😢 But I was told the lady who collected him had sat with him and comforted him in the end. I cried so freaking much 😭😭😭

I don’t know why they acted like you came in as a side surgery. You literally made an appointment! Sometimes vets are packed & if your pet needs something that’s not really a life or death situation then they ask you to leave your pet at the clinic until they can find time to squeeze them in, but their problem here is that you literally had an appointment & literally scheduled.
