I think your bench and squat will go up right away, your sticking point on the dead, since it's on the floor, it's hard to tell, it certainly helps by 5-10 lbs at minimum just from pressure. I want to see you in like 3 months.. You are going to crush records.
@Thebuttsinferno5 жыл бұрын
Your raw numbers would take a hit. But I’d say that’s contingent on if you were really trying to master the suit or not. Before mastering there isn’t much carry over. But after it I’d say over 100lbs in a squat suit and 50+ in a dL suit.

Best advice ever. Standing overhead press, not seated, has to be standing. And my bench stays consistently increasing and rep numbers stay high also. Didn't take but a few weeks for the noticable differences to be obvious. And he figured out I didn't do that one exercise just from my list of issues. He is a smart old bastard.

I want to support what Louie is saying here. My conventional deadlift stalled at around 450 for a long time. I started training a bit with sumo, and realized it was significantly weaker. So, I went a training block where I didn't pull conventional at all. Got sumo up to around where my conventional was. Went back the next training block and focused on conventional. I was immediately able to go past my old max, and worked up to my first 500. If I want to make my deadlift stronger, I know that sumo is going to make the process much faster than training conventional. Of course, start doing conventional again near the end of the training block to get the form back, if I intend to test my conventional again.

@@tokkiev.3234 Of course there's a difference in style. I get that powerlifters are trying to load as much weight as possible and reduce ROM as much as possible. That's just the sport. But there aren't many powerlifters that can pause squatting 300kg ATG, so to say that Oly lifters can't squat is just inaccurate and intellectually dishonest of Louie.

ASIRI Designs Olympic lifters are awesome, but you could pretty much ask any 800+ squatter in Powerlifting to ATG pause squat 660 and it wouldn’t be difficult at all. That should be expected when you’re training to squat as much as possible vs squatting as an accessory lift in Olympic lifting though.

Westside the #1 hard core power lifting gym in the world!Shout out to Mr.Simmons,there's a reason they call him the "WEIGHT LIFTING GURU"!If you wanna get stronger,you're in the right place!I havent been there in almost 20 yrs.(it was at the old location then-i believe it was an old dairy mart building.Pizza place right next door handy.)
