The Cat 3408-powered ST470 is a dream tractor of mine. I can only imagine what it's like listening to that big V8 Cat purr all day long.
@heatmoon3 ай бұрын
How many would you find still running a V8. Coming from a farm family V8 tractors were short lived because they aren't as reliable and used more fuel. Just saying coming from experience a V8 is not what you want and there's a reason v8s aren't and haven't been used in decades. Sure like the sound of a big block V8 though, used to have a Charger with. 440 mag so i get the love of the sound

That Steiger is a beast of a tractor , The limousine of the field seems to work as good as a lot of the new stuff . I’m not a farmer just enjoy your videos and make observations of the farmers operation and equipment working from my sofa unfortunately! Always wished I could have worked in this line of work I had a few summers as a young man on large farms bush hogging and repairing fences then became an electrician! But it got in my blood and I wish it had became a reality ! Thanks so much Enjoy all the videos Keep um coming God Bless Our Farmers they deserve so much better just like our veterans!

Stiegers still rule the fields like they did when i was a kid growing up on a small grain farm in the 80s and early 90s. So well engineered and well built, big heavy tractors that can pretty much pull whatever you hook up to it, it could pull a house off it's foundation if you wanted

I can't get over how Steiger doubled the weight with the 450. I also can't believe you could buy a monster disk like these featured for just a bit over 100k a little over 10 years ago...a year ago I heard from a neighbor who priced a new John Deere 30', so just a 3-section, for 130k!
