I saw Steinmetz' electric car at an SAE conference in Detroit about 1980. It had been stripped down to the bare aluminum. The original Edison nickel-iron batteries were practically indestructible, but were fairly low in energy density; so they lost out to lead-acid batteries.

Awesome car! Much better shape than his old desk which is mouldering away in a Syracuse basement.

We living in Detroit for 50 years and never knew about this it's terrible Detroit school system never taught us about this person

I am also learning about his contributions to science, specifically electrical mechanical theory. The Idea he is not a house hold name is a travesty. My mind has to stray toward conspiratorial intent but I do not know.. Tesla got it too but to a lesser extent and he is coming back into the collective consciousness of modern society. We should all no Steinmetz too, without doubt.

Maybe because Steinmetz’s way of thinking about electrical theory is deeper and uses ether while Einstein’s is based on particles not fields. If you use field theory you can make antigravity devices and your own spacetime bubbles and free energy machines that are hard to monetize and control

@@caroline61804 space-time bubbles... free energy lol... you don't have a clue about aetheric field theory. Free energy cannot happen due to field entropy. Space is absence of physical properties. Time is a human construct for quantifying seamless field entropy. Go to school parrot.

Nazgul Linux I have my sheep skin Nazgul Linux. Do you? But yes space has no physical properties no doubt. It is an artifact of magnetism itself. If you know so much about aetheric fields go write a book caz I don’t believe you do. Go back to the line to get more brains dude

And in a world that believes in dark energy free energy can exist

All aluminum in 1914? That car must have cost a fortune!

Just imagine how advanced electric cars would be today if big oil wouldn’t have killed them. Sad.
