I'm so glad you're enjoying your journey. I'm sure you've heard that the saying on the Camino is, "it is your Camino," which means if you don't feel like drinking I don't think it will matter to anyone. I had a glass of wine one day, in the middle of the day, and had to find a place to pee every 20 minutes! Lesson learned😂 Happy travels.

Try for late breakfast a tostada con tomate, toast artesanal bread with fresh peeled and minced tomato, with olive oil and a little salt is delicious

Viana is a lovely place to stop. I hope you got to the gardens at the end of the albuergue with the panoramic view. I was there in July 2011, then April & July 2024.

What's your schedule for releasing these if you have one? Also, what are doing in late 2024 and now in 2025 for a job, have you gone back to teaching? Did you pursue the "places to Hike in a city or area, working with a Chamber of Commerce"?

I had hoped to find you relaxing into the camino. It is not a thruhike. Its your camino of course, but I'd hoped that you would have a chance to enjoy the culture, stop long enough to notice and perhaps comment (not just wow) on the marvellous architecture that is so interesting and different from US, try the different food, relish the people connections you make and allow yourself to relax and indulge a little. But I feel I just hear you trying to push forward as if you are on a thruhhike. It all feels so competitive and I am sorry you might have missed out on the essence of the camino. But there again I am not sure of your intentions for the camino.
