22:55 adrift is one of the better anomalies to find, it gives permanent 10% sublight speed.

What you need to do Quill is slowly close off the jobs in the old homeworld, so there is at least one unemployed person on your homeworld, then the population will migrate by themselves. Forget what the rate of moving people like this, but will be at least 1 per year or so.

Sadly, there's a good chance that he's already recorded all the ones up thru the home world blowing up prior to this going live.

This series finally persuaded me to buy Stellaris in the Summer sale. Kind of daunted watching you play, but looks like fun...

Just be aware, while entertaining, Quill is often completely wrong about game mechanics. Have a look at the players who participated in the Paradox launch event "Nemesis Cold War" about 3 months ago for helpful ideas.

@@fistandantillusflinx5041 - yep - thanks for the heads up. It would be almost impossible for someone like Quill to be intimate with the detailed mechanics of every single game he plays. Will take a look at some of the Stellaris dedicated streamers. Still, as a complete noob, this has provided some insights for me and Quill is entertaining.

not sure if you pre-recorded or not but the new science ship you got from that event is going too kill itself because it's not set too run away from danger when you first get it ;) ... if/when it does that would be even more of a waste of energy spent on that new scientist :o P.S. thankyou for doing what you do

hey Quill, do you have plans on how you wanna play out the game? going mechanical ascention and a tall fereation builder with lots of habitats would certainly be in line with the species idea

Doesn't this race have extra pips to remove terrain blockers? Can they not be used on the new planet to make them more habitable? Or do they merely open up more slots for districts and stuff? (Sorry, learning this game)

You need to research technology to be able to remove terrain blockers but you are correct that they only open up more slots for districts. There are a few special districts which doesn't require tech and a few which gives special rewards but the vast majority as "just" things like massive active volcanoes or similar.

Opening more slots for districts is good even if you don't currently need them, since more available district slots boosts pop growth.

should like four or more cconstruction ships by year 20 against npcs. theyre a lot easier to expand against than players

I have found you never need more than 3 science ships at a given time.

In the previous series Quill was generally keeping 8 science ships constantly busy (and had a few others that were only used for researching spaceship debris) - that was the huge map size, but scaling down to large (this one) it appears to be faster to survey the galaxy and research the various projects with more than 3.

Playing on huge maps, I always have a lot more than 3. The more systems you get to first, the more free stuff you get.
